You can become addicted to many things in life but if you value yourself and want to do the work and seek out resources to help you it's very possible to begin again sober with like minded people that understand your struggle and care and will support you. If you continue to have a addicts mindset that others are to be used for your benefit and to hell with the living ... That will be your undoing. Rebecca had a good day today but she truly wasn't aware that those people in that shop were reaching out to her while she just saw them as some new fans in her newest shop all purchases paid by Mark. It means nothing to him and that outfit won't be cherished but in all probability be cast aside, ripped up and dirty the next time he's seen waiting for Mark to buy him more...just like the "lost" I phones and clothes in past episodes

She's only 26... most ppl would just be starting work anyway at her age. She has time

Anyone who's a drag queen or FH has probably been waiting since day one to see Rebecca with other gays who can match her energy and know what she's talking about. There's a whole culture around the drag community (which is different from trans , but it sometimes crosses over) and the ones who know about it are probably thrilled to see her in her element, finally. It was a much more strange interaction watching her talk to Uber straight Mark all these years. This, this feels like home, feels like belonging, and I know Rebecca has to be feeling that. I hope it gives her enough peace to kick drugs, because drugs did use to be a big problem in the community, especially in the 80's. I feel like all the old queens are trying to get away from that now, at least the ones I know. (I imagine this is strange for others who aren't used to it, though. It's a whole other community with its own culture)

@@cocobutter3175 I watched the video last night. Earlier today I was thinking about the many comments I saw here saying 'this is not normal' and that it was so weird or so exhausting. Where others were exhausted, I was energized. Mark provided an opportunity for viewers to see Rebecca speaking and being understood - and doing what it is she is good at. She was having fashion / creativity conversations -- unlike here where so many of the viewers say 'whaaaaaat? It's all gibberish!" Sure this is 'home' in the drag world, but also - I was thinking that these types of interactions go into the way musicians, actors, models and other entertainers become clothed and adorned to appear in the media that so many straight (and some homophobic, transphobic) viewers consume regularly. There needs to be more awareness around the creative process of fashion and that it IS a viable career for those who are drawn to it. It is a VERY meaningful form of self expression and communication in media. It has relevance, power and livings to be earned. This shopping visit also looked more 'normal' to me (other than seeming an exceptionally fulfilling introduction and group creative "jam" worthy of celebration). I try to remember I've had so opportunities many have not - I've spent time and worked with drag artists, art school fashion designers and creative artists in a variety of disciplines much of my life. So many are written off because of interests in creative fields, and also of course due to sexual orientation and gender identity. Put those together and a lot of buttons get pushed - why? Maybe the toxic masculinity in Western Culture that so many of us were raised with. Boys get boy toys, girls get girl toys, freak out if Johnny loves the Barbie. That sort of baloney. I think half of her responses are experessions of her spirit and the other half are hardwired pop culture quotes like "can we agree to disagree"...Maybe sober talk was unexpected, sober life brings self doubt as she's not yet been there, tried and failed but still wants these friends. There maybe an unreadiness expressed authentically yet coded ie. "if I can't get sober will I still be able to be your friends?" or it maybe as simple as an off-the-cuff response when you meet someone for the first time and are navigating the newness.

I agree. They are all just being polite. Sure in another interview, Cosmo had said Rebecca came back and had to ask her to leave so he could go back to work. It must be exhausting dealing with someone coming into your place of work annoying you while there off their face on drugs
