Just purchased my first bumblebee lure this past summer (late 2019) and found it an incredible lure! I caught tons of rock bass, bluegill, smallmouth bass (small ones) and even a catfish. But to my surprise... I caught a 4 lbs largemouth bass on it in early fall. 🎣👍 If you ever need some field tester... I’m in! 👍
I fish it straight retrieval with a ultralight 4lb test (usually) first time fishing it I caught a bluegill and largemouth bass right after great reliable spring/summer lure
I have used this lure. I change the trebble hooks, to a larger trebble hook. Which makes it submerge to get the attention of bigger fish hiding in the depths.. works really good.. I have 2 now. And the other is only for top water only.
I don't see any reason you couldn't fish this in salt water but it doesn't seem like much of an ocean lure to me. Maybe an inshore brackish river where the current is slow?
