Do like a bright-burnt yellow base with a 90's style off-teal decal. Like the "sun rays" from the Japanese flag. Centered on the front and "raying" towards the rear. I know that sounds stupid but throw it in a program and see what it looks like. Play with the colors a bit. Maybe orange or purple rims. I think that would look absolutely wild, but if done right it could look lowkey amazing.
Hear me out….YELLOW! It only works on a few certain cars, and the NSX is 100% one of them. Then pair up with HRE to get a 1 of 1 set for the car. But you can throw a set of bronze TE’s for the time being.
"One small step forward for man, one giant leap forward for mankind." Neil Armstrong upon setting his first steps on the Moon after setting the Apollo Lander on the surface of La Luna. You don't know this epic quote and btw what's you motto again at the end of every video?
Silica brass in bronze TE’s would looks so sick!!! Also if you want to do red I would recommend doing like a McLaren volcano red so it’s a deep metallic unlike the regular red that came factory on the nsx, but wheels definitely should go with the special Te’s or some advan GT’s
the colour itself looks awesome - but would have little contrast with the tan interieur to avoid green, red or black mabe some shade of blue (even frozen types to get the satin feel) on the outside to not have it gobble up the body lines and still have some nice contrast with the interieur
After looking at pictures of both TE37s and Regamasters, I agree with you. I think 5 spokes look better on the NSX, regardless of the color selection. Plus Regamasters are a lot less overplayed than TE37s
BRO you gotta paint it Honda's Fiji Blue. Absolute stunner of a paint color, goes great with bronze wheels, and I love it when people keep in the same car brand/family for the OEM+ vibes 👌 Love the build!
Ive always loved the Aspen White Pearl Glow that came on the 90s Nissans and pairing that up with the Te37s or even a thinner spoke wheel like the Ferrada FR4 would be mint, personally I would love to see the FR4 over the TE's just because the 5-6 spokes in general have been a mainstay on the NSX and I would love to see you experiment with different styles on urs
I love that this series so far is just a standard restoration and bringing it back to life, as opposed to making it this pristine super expensive show car. I hope it continues to stay this way, because all the crazy wide body bags super car stuff is just too unrelatable. Obviously the NSX is still a rare and expensive car, but at least the type of work being done on it is more similar to the kind of restoration a normal person would do in their garage. Keep up this kind of content.
TE37s would look great. Nothing wrong with going with a classic. Got em on my poor man's Porsche, or also the poor poor man's NSX, MR2 Spyder. Loving this build TJ! It's how most of us would get into these high end JDM cars now. Gotta put work in!
Engine sounded healthy on first start-up! Good work. That dark green is low-key kinda nice but if you do red, do like a dark red, not Ferrari Red. Would be a nice contrast with the interior.
I've was a big fan of how you made the GTR an OEM+ build, you could probably do the same for the NSX. Maybe a "Spa Yellow Pearl" or a "Monte Carlo Blue Pearl" from the first gen NSX, or maybe even "Nouvelle Blue Pearl" or a "Nord Grey Metallic" from the second en NSX. But if you want a red the "Valencia Red Pearl" from the second gen NSX would be amazing
Would love to see an exotic material inside like replacing everything tan with black alcantara and black carpet. Or even making the tan a step up from oem. Never see OEM+++ that often on 90s cars and could look killer.
I disagree. It's been really nice to see TJ just do a normal near OEM restoration for once. IMO he always goes way too over the top with his builds and it's just not very relatable to the average person. I'm tired of seeing wide body and bags and custom paint and super built highly expensive stuff. Just get it back to normal and enjoy it for what it is.
that green color is a great looking color. my aunt had a 94 honda accord in green and buffed out the metallic in the sun brings it out like crazy... cant go wrong
I really love that you found a car that was dying or died and you are resurrecting it. I have pretty much been doing the same thing but with run of the male Volkswagens, the MK fours diesels and 1.8 just a couple respect keep on doing it and I’ll be watching and supporting you.
I think a dark wine red with bronze or gold wheels would suit this one well. TEs would work, but I think you could find a better option. Looking great though Teej!
Paint the NSX the same deep metallic red from Mazda that you painted Selena wayyy back in the day (RIP Selena) that way you could have it red, but it’d look soooo much better and not basic like every other red NSX!!
