Day 1 is in the books and it was one HECK of a day! We had hoods fly off cars, monster wheelies, new records, broken parts, engine swaps, & so much more. Now we're heading 250 miles to Norwalk, Ohio (Summit Motorsports Park) where we will do it all over again tomorrow!

The guy that drives the pepsi express beetle and has parkinsons was trying to fill out the information sheet for his car on day 0 I believe and his shaking was affecting him finishing the form and his wife offered to fill it out for him but he said “no, i have to do this” he’s literally racing against time, you have my complete respect for continuing to race, strong man with a good wife✊

Always puts a smile on my face to see Clark and the respect you have for him. I will never forget seeing Fred interview him on a previous drag week, to make Clark more comfortable he stammered a few times and Clark's eyes just lit up. We are all unique and the care taken to not alienate him is all the feels

Them Kiwi's know what they are doing they have some pretty fast cars over there and quite a few of them have been on Drag Week quite a few years and everything they bring over here to race Hot Rod Drag Week has been really fast including that car I forget what kind of car it was now but the car that wrecked a few years back and rolled quite a few times I was very amazed that the driver just got out of the car and walked away like nothing happened

@28:00 it's so werid for us in England to see a standard looking spec 2 r33 feature alongside all these cool American cars (most of which I don't even know what they are!)... I've scrapped so many r33s and have a few shells including my drift car. And all put together are worth less than a set of tyres that you chaps use to race. God love the internet for showing what our passion is like in other countries! God bless 1320. I hope to watch drag week one day! Edit. Got time wrong. Side note. If that was a GTS shell. It started as a none turbo RB25. A gtst has a rb25det so single turbo 2.5. the R33 had a lower spec. A GTS which had a single cam rb20. 2L single cam. Which has no horse power. It's what my daily r33 4 door has. Slower than slow. I run a rb20det from a R32/c33 in my r33 as a drift car. Revs better than the 25. Wish we had LS cars here! I've only seen 3 LS engines in 16 years of being into modified cars :(

Kyle has done more for drag racing in the last 16 years then anyone else I can think of if it wasn't for Kyle there would be no street outlaws no Clettus and no rocky mountain drag week or Mid West drag week and I don't think Drag Week would still be here today either! And the RU-vid car community would be a lot smaller then what it is today so you tell me what one person in drag racing has done more in the last 16 years? So on behalf of all us drag racers we Thank You Kyle for all you have done and for what's yet to come!

The white bearded guy in the blue 6 second Vette is one of the coolest, EZ mannered guy I believe I've ever seen who pilots a race car. Appears not much rattles that guy. Wishing him all the best and that he finds that very low 6 or possibly find his way into the 5's. His buddy Tom Baily very likely hopes he can get there too.

That is awesome of the 1320 crew not only do they pick some of the coolest most interesting builds of Drag Week to ask for a ride along in but they also switch with most of the time the Co-Pilots Co-Pilot and the third person always has the worst seat in the world and I get that race cars/street cars aren't built for comfort as it is but what they ride in and on is some of the spare parts and tents and tools and tool boxes and trust me I know from experience that they have some of the worst rides and you have to be hardcore to ride in these cars all week I myself have ridden in a street car with the old school fiberglass bucket race seats to the track and slept in that same seat for hours waiting for the gates to the track to open so we could race for the weekend and my ride was only about an hour at most at a time I don't know how long Kyle switches off with some of these guys but it still gives them a huge break before they have to get back in that car and finish off the week and I hope before the week is up Kyle gets to ride in Dave Schroeder's C7 so us fans can get his ride along opinion of that car
