CK Performance makes one of the best performance recalibration kits for the 200-4R that improves transmission performance, shift characteristics and longevity. The full kit includes new springs, 1/4 cup plugs, a heavy duty, updated spacer plate, billet servo assembly and more.
Note - Assembly for the pump-related parts of the kit, including the pressure regulator spring and boost/reverse boost valves can be viewed in Part 3 of the 200-4R rebuild series (link to be added upon publication to the channel).

Not many builders left that do the 200r I know the CK kit deletes 1-2 and 3-4 ? Accumulators....would you recommend deleting them at any level of build and what is the end result shift feel

Hi Jon, thank you for watching. The CK kit has 1/4" cup plugs to block off the 1-2 and 3-4...I provide info on when to block and when to adjust them in the video which mirrors CK's guidance but you dont have to block them off unless you're doing something moderate-to-high performance.

This is something that I did to keep my valves from rolling around until I bought a tray to lay them in. I took a piece of corrugated tin and laid everything out in that. I piece of corrugated fiberglass works too. Didn't always have money to but fancy tools. Are you from around Philadelphia, it sounds like Pa accent. I live near Johnstown, our accent is just a little different. We say yuns, different from Pittsburgh yins, or as they call them the yinzers

Yes I'm part of Steeler Nation, they got their asses handed to them by Buffalo. Pa has a lot of reginal accents. Not to far from me, in Bedford County, the accent really changes. One thing that stands out, is the way they say the word out, it sounds like they are saying oat. What gave you away is dis, dat dees, and dose. Its in our genes I guess, can't hide it. Even though you might live in a different place, ya can't take the Pennsylvania outa ya!@@nickstransmissions

For sure, man! Yea, Steelers got beat but played a half decent game...The Birds are in the process of getting completely embarrassed, after going 10-1 which is an epic collapse. So looks like both PA teams will be done early this year.

I just rebuilt my 2004r CK performance kit dual feed at light throttle I have a 2-3 bind how do you correct that

Hi 820, thank you for watching...I need some more info before I can recommend anything... What hole sizes did you drill for the 1-2, 2-3 and 2-3 accumulator? What was your direct clutch clearance? Did you use the CK Performance servo or a factory servo and if CK Performance, what was your servo travel? How did the servo behave when you performed your air check? Did it release immediately after removing the air source?

It's been said that certain people within the Grand National community can build one of these that can hold up to 800+HP. Unfortunately, after a few rebuilds, I finally gave up on the 200-4R.

It can be done with a boat load of aftermarket hard parts and hydraulic mods. These are very finikey and not the easiest to get to shift as desired even for typical mild-moderate perf applications.
