With the Abandoned NSX in the shop, its time to figure out where to start! Our goal for this NSX is to restore it back to its original state while upgrading it where we can!
Tbh think its better to fully gut the car to the bare chassis then continue rebuilding it from there. Can find other hidden issues aswell as clean it up more and try to make it mint
@@Bagged_k5 perfect Japanese garage has to include all famous cars from every Japanese brand some has 2 or 3 , like Nissan the R33 GTR the R34 GTR , Toyota Supra MK4 , Evo 10 , Ae86 Trueno , S15 Silvia , Honda EK9 and EP3 Type R and there's more so if you wanted the ultimate Japanese garage you definitely need a big garage cause i imagine you would want all GTR's from R31 to R34 plus Hakosuka and Kenmeri
For Future reference, when cleaning up after mice in a car interior you should definitely use a respirator. Especially if you're using steam and essentially rehydrating and kicking the the pee/poop back into the air.
This. This right here is what we love to see! Complete restoration, Teeg getting his hands dirty, and the team grooving together. Again love this build already
God bless Ian for having the patience for dealing with wiring harnesses. I patched some cables from the wiring loom in my Focus a week before I traded it in, but the license plate light still didn't work. Thankfully I did the deal during the day.
Tj that was probably its first wash since it was bought so stoked you bought it and its being fixed such an iconic jdm legend it deserves to be back on the road 👌
TJ Hunt Great Video I'm glad your Acura NSX's Wiring problem was figured out and that her Interior is all cleaned up and I can't wait to see how Engine and Transmission is
Keep the NSX body original, do a nice OEM+ restoration with tailored interior etc like you would have wanted on the 355. PS: My 997 GT3 is for sale too if you're looking ;)
Dude these series make me so happy I love watching u an the boys rebuild cars it makes me push through the day better knowing I get to come home and watch it ❤
TJ describing a $30K NSX: "I got it for dirt cheap." The rest of us: "You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means." Heh, all kidding aside, what an amazing transformation! These were gorgeous cars; I had a neighbor with a red one and I loved seeing it daily. Can't wait to see how this one turns out. "Pop-up" Honda-squad, FTW!
If that interior is any example of the neglect. This is going to be the single coolest recovery of a neglected, dilapidated, abused NSX on the Internet. I dig this car.
This build is gonna be another winner. The NSX is an awesome example of JDM performance. can't wait to see where this goes and its BRG (errrrr money green)
I ran a detail business based on steam cleaning. It cuts cost of products and will clean clear coat with out using clay bar, puts clay to shame! You will need high powered steamer like vapor chief or vapor rhino steamer. You will never go wrong with steam!😎
I am so amped to see this NSX come back to its full glory! You have done some amazing things on this channel, but this is probably my favorite! Cant wait to see more satisfaction in things getting cleaned and what you end up doing to it overall. Please keep the V6 though! Would be kind of sick if you turboed it or supercharged it though
That's freaking awesome that Ian did that!!! I'm starting my wiring for my K Swapped c10 all from scratch so I think I would be able to tell what's messed up on it!😁
I'm pretty sure this is the first video I've watched from your channel, Love the Japanese icons , the cleaning and repairing videos, I'm totally Subscribing and binge watching 🔥🔥
Detailing tip. don't use degreasers on real leather it pulls the natural oils and cracking can start! but the cleaning before and afters are always satisfying!!
I for one think that rear deck lid is freaking SPICY🥵🥵🥵!!! The roof scoop could tuck to the roof more but that clear lid with the scoop is such a good look. Let’s you appreciate the heart of the machine
@@jbrundrett …yeah a roof scoop. There are multiple kinds of roof scoops…but that’s what it is. Some go into the car itself. Others are meant for mid to rear engine cars like this. And there are some for directing air over a wing etc. Same thing dude
