I'm messaging you directly because I don't believe it's you that messaged me about having won a bike. That said if it truly isn't then some one is misrepresenting themselves as you on RU-vid as you.

I have a 2017 breakout the last year of the 5 gallon tank will be happy to take a look at the new model. I have 100,000 miles on mine been to Sturgis and done Route 66 on it. Best bike I have ever owned!
I Actually saw this the other day omg absolutely gorgeous Bikes ,Live To Ride , Ride To Live ,I would like to say a big Thank You to the Davison Brother's for Building the best machine Ever ., In the 120 years Happy Birthday Harley Davidson .💯😘💖✊🏻✊🏿✊🏽✊🏾
I'm a sucker for the model year launches. This year's cinematography is ALMOST up to a Matt Laidlaw channel level haha. You, Nick, and the crew still set the high bar for ride vids. I think that Breakout is going to be a huge success. They absolutely nailed it this time around, especially with the 117 and 5 gal tank. I also think the Nightster Special looks pretty nice. Harley should really make an effort to put people in those RevMax saddles this season. If they don't have widespread demos I worry the nostalgia crew and change-haters will bury this platform before it has a chance. Anyone I've seen that rides something with the RevMax comes back smiling, so H-D really needs to do a little evangelism and spread the word. I also think they must have something special up their sleeve for the mid-year reveal. Keep up the good work Matt!
I digging this comment. Thanks man. I don’t know, the cinematography in this launch is pretty amazing. I appreciate the props though. 🤙🏼 Yea the rev max is just a great bike. I think more and more people will discover them. You’re right though, a little evangelism could go a long way.
Agreed. I just bought a 2014 Road King a month ago and was looking forward to upgrading to a newer model at some point. Now I'm limited to a 2022 or older...it's a bummer.
@@ralphhammond1107 agreed, but I'd actually prefer the 114 over a 117...no matter what CVO models they launch this year, I'm sad to see the base model Road King get dropped. Guess it's not a big seller...
So hyped about the ST saddle bags for my '22 Low Rider S (FXLRS). I was already going to order all the parts necessary in order to build them, but the fact that Harley now offers them in a complete package/painted ready to go is so cool. Makes my life easier at the end of the day. Thank you, Harley.
@@ChineO19 This is a good question. It appears that they are different sizes just like what comes stock on the Low Rider St. It's for exhaust clearance reasons.
There are a lot of Low Rider ST folks trying to get Sport Glide bags for their ride. The Double Barrel shotgun pipes become problematic, and then shorter custom exhaust systems blow hot exhaust onto the Sport Glide bags lower portions, too. There's no easy solution, other than just buy a Sport Glide and keep a full length exhaust system, factory or after market slip ons, full length. There's a very good reason HD runs those full length pipes near or past the rear tire, for tuning purposes. It just works over a wider range of riding rpms.
@@ChineO19 trust me, the left and right side bags are not the same on a Sport Glide. I own a FLSB, the right side is a little bit smaller. I'm not sure how HD got them to sit so much higher or if it's an optical illusion because there's no pillion seat on the LR ST model and just fender showing?
Here's what I think. HD has recently been reinvesting in aspirational bikes like the Breakout and Fat Boy. I think that's cool, maybe what people dream about, but not exactly what I love about HD. I love the utilitarian, service-oriented bikes like the RK and Electra Glide. To me, that is the iconic HD that I love best: the solid, all-purpose, high-mileage bikes. I hope to see Harley reimagine some of those models once more before we all trundle off into the EV future.
Good job Matt !! Harley has done 2023 with style. Personally I like that Breakout and Road Glide Trike 3. The Anniversary Models are awesome. THANK YOU for sharing !!!
Absolutely love all the new roll outs and accessories. I am buying new this year and couldn't be more stoked about this year. Will you be at the 120th Anniversary Party? Like a traditional Porsche guy I prefer air-cooled Sportster as I own a '07 that I love. Still wish the Road King and Deluxe were still around.
👍Thanks for the nice in depth video Matt! I think HD knocked it out of the park with the 120th Anniversary models paint scheme this year, but I'm a huge fan of the colors of red that HD has used over the years! I can't recall any shade of red that I've seen HD use that I didn't like. I can't wait to check them out in person.
Road Glide 3 is top pick for me to add to my collection. Where I live it's still too F'ing cold to ride 2 wheelers. Back in the day my wife and I were ATV Safety Instructors. I like to power slide the 3 Wheeler just for kicks. I'm never giving up my Street Glide. It'll go to my son-in-law when I'm dead!🏁
The Heirloom red paint scheme looks amazing. The option to add saddlebags to the LRS or soft bags is awesome. Other than that no real significant changes to the touring platform. Seems HD is focusing on the baby boomers to ensure they keep riding with the trike options.
As a dealer what are your thoughts on the virtual model release vs. the annual dealer meeting where you actually got to put hands on the metal and talk to the designers/engineers and do you have any preference? Think we learned more when you reported from the dealer meetings- your softail vid (2018 MY) was a real education. As for the '23 model year I think they hit it out the park with the Anniversary editions- CVO worthy attention to detail in the paint (color choice and design), badging and seats. Great job as always Matt distilling it all down.
Super stoked to see the 2lanelife gentlemen on the drop! Always look forward to seeing a new drop from Laidlaws Harley Davidson. Can’t wait to come down and see the new bikes! Might head down now!! 😂 🎉 See ya soon!
Great job Brother , the anniversary bikes are beautiful , and I'm really glad that the breakout is back I use to work at Harley and a ton of people came in looking for a fat tire bike so better the breakout than the muscle , but Harley is gonna do what they want and not even get any input from the floor guys and that's were there wrong cause we're the ones dealing with the customers and they should have made the new nightster with the mags on the air cooled 1200 it would have sold incredible. Anyway thank you for taking the time I love bikes !!!!!
Excellent presentation as always Matt, looks like it will be a great year. HD has really put out some great looking bikes an plenty to choose from, the red will stand out no doubt, the CVO will really stand out the way they have done that, have a great year Matt
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the new line up Matt!I think providing a limited number of bikes is an interesting strategy…will take a look at the resale 20 years from now (assuming I’m still around😎)
Hi Matt, ow that Harley’s have made the LRST saddlebags available to purchase for the LRS models, you think Harley will also make available to purchase for the LRS the LRST fairing?
Thanks for the update Matt. I’m curious, is it just luck of the draw as to what anniversary bikes you as a dealer receive? Do they just show up on the truck or do you know what is coming?
Love all the new stuff! Pretty bummed that the standard Road King hasn't reappeared, it was the best deal in the line up. I like the Nightster Special. If they could clean up that radiator, I would like it a lot more. The Vrod radiator looked good, and the Indian Scout radiator looks good. Liquid cooling can be done attractively, and HD just need to redo the radiator on the Nightster & Sportster S. It's not as noticable on the S with the fat front tire, but on the Nightster it is very noticeable. I like the look of the RevMax engine, just need to clean up the radiator. Then it would sell better.
Hey, Matt, great review. I'm not a red person but love the anniversary paint! Looks like candy apple red to me, beautiful color! The only criticism I have is that they are making us wait for the rest of the '23 CVOs, with no reveal date???
Yea, I’m not a red person either but honestly that street glide and road glide are bikes I’d own for sure. The CVO is amazing. Yes, it kinda sucks we gotta wait but 🤷♂️
Nice video matt. The 2lane guys cameo was awesome. I honestly was expecting a lot more on this hyped reveal, than some colors clothing and options. Nice to see the breakout coming back with a 5 gallon. But why kill the road king? Sport glide? Deluxe? Dyna? And now the evo sporty? Sportsters used to be the the perfect entry point for new riders and/or folks on a budget. Now , like it or not EVERYTHING at HD is a flex on the wallet. Just wish HD had more options. Ever since 2017 Feels like a fumble, HD losing touch with both aging riders and younger generations who can barely afford rent and hyper inflation.
Thanks for weighing in I appreciate the comment. Do you think we need the Sport Glide with the Low Rider St? I don't. Dyna is gone because Harley has a better model now (New softail). The Evo sporty is gone because of Gov regulation (emissions) Road King standard is gone but we do have the Special. So I think H-D is adapting as every company needs to.
The 120 year anniversary red color is definitely a nice touch. The compleixity of creating a paint job with varying appearances depending on the angle from which it's viewed, adds to anniversary bike exclusivity. I think the quality detailed anniversary badging is a plus and I agree it's better to produce anniversary bikes in limited quantities.
Great colours & the Road glide cvo is too expensive!!!Roadglide anniversary edition is the bike to get for me! Just tough decision if I can let go one my CVO bikes or my low Rider ST to make room😬
@@MattLaidlaw hey Magnum it's me Eric again , hey I'm really liking the red paint you have got to have some steady hands and hard details and make something like that happen great job on Harley love the badge
I'm sure this is an old paint scheme that they just bring back up I've seen Harley's with similar color. It could be a touch different but not by much. All companies use the same stuff over and over again. It might take them 20 to 40 years to go back to a trend.
The Anniversary Fatboy is £5200 extra here in the UK, that's one hell of an increase for a flashy paint job, I would trade my 2017 Fatboy in for the new Breakout in a flash👍
I'm looking at that bike too. Right now I have a 20 Street Bob but would love that big tank and rear tire. Hopefully the new saddlebags will be offered for that. The cloth one looks just like my Leather Pros. Not sure about the handlebars but those can be changed. Should have come with cruise control but that can be added.
I don't know what the exchange rate is but it sounds like the up-charge is greater over there than here. I agree though, the Ann Fat boy and Breakout are gonna be hot bikes this year.
@@MattLaidlaw In Germany for the Fat Boy the upcharge for the anniversary color scheme is 6000 EUR - equals about 6200 USD, instead of just 1500 in the US. Hard to understand, why there is such an increase...Especially as the bikes for non-US markets are built in Thailand.
Nice review of the new 120th anniversary lineup! As you talk about limited production numbers made. It was interesting for me to find out that my 2020 Stiletto Red Street glide is one of only 964 produced globally. According to Harley Davidson customer service. What are your thoughts on that? PS I’m with you though I really like that 120th Road glide!
I think they didn't go enough around the CVO. But when I went to the online Harley-Davidson store.... that pic they had on there! That is really a sharp ass bike and the amount of detail is insane! Good vid fir what it was. Expected to see a little more but good none the less
I’m old at 51. My first motorcycle was a 1200 sportster around 1996 and was carbureted. The new sportster looks too polished and slick for me. Life moves forward for some
I wasn't really following the Pan America 975 thread too closely, but I imagined it might happen based on how KTM executes in the market with their whole graduated lineup of engine sizes. Those guys really seem to be one of the most agile in terms of engineering and execution. Obviously HD is not yet the overall leader in that segment, but I am proud that they've been crushing it with the Pan America. As for the rest, I'm not really surprised that there isn't much talk yet about the 350 bikes or the Highway King that showed up in the CARB. It's always hard to speculate on things. Any idea which plant these 350s are going to be coming from?
@OfficialMattLaidlaw don't you have anything better to do moron than try to scam people using a similar name to the channel? I'm sure your parents are so proud of you (not).
Good-Day; Matt: Enjoy your video contents, also very pleased that you and your family did not git caught up in that Big auto group that were buying up dealerships across the county .My question to you would a person be able to install the Sharknose Fairing and stero/ GPS to the revamped blacked- out Freewheeler. Thank you and always,Have a Bless Day....
I wasn't expecting anything spectacularly new. The anniversary livery is nice and it's the first time I might consider a red bike. That said it really sort of hit me over and over in the video that besides possibly the standard Softail, Harley has basically said Fu to first-time riders🤷
The red paint is very nice. One reason they haven't used it before may be because red was traditionally considered to be Indian's color -- not Harley-Davidson's color. The early Harley-Davidson was known as "The Silent Gray Fellow." I wonder if that even crossed their minds?
EHEHEHEH “AMF acronym” … minute 16:25 good one Matt 😅 not ONE word on the “Road King” .. i am disappointed .. both on the discontinuation of our iconic Road King and on the fact that we forget and move on ( without the Road King ) so quickly .. to me it’s like removing the best stud from a harras .. wanted to hear your take Matt Thanks
@MattLaidlaw, fitting the ST hard bags to the Lowrider S. I have the docking for a detachable luggage rack / sissy bar. Can I fit the hard bags to that AS WELL as the luggage rack?
I already put a deposit down For a fatboy, but I also like the heritage, Is really that dangerous to travel with inner tube tires? I dont know if its worth the hassle of having a bike with spoked wheels
Another opportunity for dealers to charge more than MSRP for the 120th anniv "limited" editions. With the Lower Rider STs selling before they can even be shown on the showroom floor, it's a shame they didn't give that more attention in their lineup. My El Diablo is the best Harley I've ever owned.
My local dealer wanted approximately $8k over msrp for a 2023 Road Glide Standard. Next new bike, I am going to take a look at Indian. No more Harleys for me at these prices. I'm not even going to buy a teeshirt.
They definitely are expensive but I love my 21 fat boy. I went with the freedom performance 2to1 side turnout exhaust and the trask air cleaner and I’m stoked every time I fire her up.
Will the breakout sale or be like the old model and real hard to get off the floor? It looks cool and looks like the old softail breakout but in Kentucky where I sold bikes it sat
Nice bikes, it'll be yearrrs until I can afford one lol still love my twin cam club style dyna🤘🛵 but HD has soft club style bags for softails now ! Look like my LeatherPro V3 bags !
Well done and good positive view on this launch we know there is a lot of mixed reviews. Personally- I think H-D should partner and improve known issues (oil pump is weak (hit or miss) which leads to sumping) I feel they are putting too much emphasis in the look and sound of the bike and not working on improving current/known issues. I also feel they should waive the co-pay on the ESP (extended service plan) customer already paid a ton for the warranty why the need to get 50.00 bucks per open job order?
Love your videos, i click EVERYTIME,I see a Laidlaw video and have plans to visit the shop but, to say this color looks good or is authentic, Neither. I see now you are working for or attempting to work for Harley’s public relations. But i won’t stop watching. You’re the reason i bought a Harley. Maybe i need to see the paint in person? Thanks Matt.
If you ever get the chance, go see an El Diablo Limited Edition in direct sunlight on a sunny day. Lighting inside the building just doesn't do justice to the paint color scheme.
Harley's motto should be, why innovate when paint sells so well. I fear the big twins are just being milked till they drop them but my number one pet peeve is continuing the surcharge.
I liked this years launch! The anniversary bikes are sick! Breakout is sick too. Was really hoping for new bikes to be released based on the revmax platform like the Bronx and the Cafe. A lil let down but hopefully mid year. Overall it was good though
I have owned three Harleys and I currently own a Fat Boy. I was eager to see the new bikes. The BIG news? A new color Red! Whoopi do. How exciting. A new color Wow. Cannot wait for next year. Wonder what the color will be.
I have a 115 Year Sport Glide, it's in a Merlot Red. I can't justify a 120 Aniv. Fat Boy, even though I could go in right now and write a check for it with no financing. I'm just having the hardest time seeing where the value is in doing so. The Sport Glide is doing a great job, as is, with adjustable rear shock, too, and a removable fairing and bags, if I want a naked bike.
