@@johngeier697 The narrative surrounding the departure of Carroll was that the "game had passed him by", that his schemes were too old school. The players were here to compete at the highest level, and that the new coach was a "genius", specifically, that he was a defensive genius. If these things were true, there should have been some marked improvement. There has been none. The 3-0 start was fraudulent, soft wins against soft opponents. Losing at home to the sucky, sucky Giants is deserving of full panic mode, and if the 'Hawks can't beat a depleted Niners team in Seattle in early October, there's no chance they're going to beat them in December or January. Having just suffered the Mariners glorious, underachieving mediocrity for two seasons and the same for the Seahawks for three seasons, I would suggest some latitude for Seattle fans to be a smidge surly.
I 100% disagree with both of you on Purdy. I thought his running looked horrible and he would only get away with that against Seattle's weak D. If he tries that against a REAL D he will get destroyed.
