Anyone had any luck using diatomaceous earth on these guys? We have quite a few cicada killers buzzing around the yard and so are a bit worried by the sheer volume of them. However, I have dogs and don't want to go around spraying poison everywhere.
just found one, it created a nest under my dumpster. where there is no grass. I was worried it was a snake hole because one was out there in the same location a few weeks earlier. I sprayed wasp spray down in the hole and out she came.
They keep flying into my porch and spend hours finding their way back out. Second time it’s happened this year and it’s not even August yet 😖 Right now one has been in there for 5 hours. What am I supposed to do??
Right? Why kill them... HAVE A LOT OF BIG HUGE TREES AND PROBABLY A THOUSAND OF CICADAS... LOT OF NOISE AND I TOUGHT THE HOLES WAS THE CICADA NEST... I MAY BE WRONG BECAUSE THIS MORNING WAS SCARY FOUND ONE CICADA KILLER AND THOUGHT WAS A EUROPEAN KILLER THING... BUT IF JAVE A PROBLEMS OF CICADA THEN I SHOULD LET THEM DO DO THE KILLING THING...
