@@badzs. USD is short for United States Dollar and CAD is Canadian Dollar I couldn’t find the exact same OTG (On the go) cable on Amazon.com as the one that i have from amazon.ca . So i picked the one with the best and most reviews that show USB microphones working with iPhones! Hopefully that helps ✌️
I got a unofficial one and I can’t hand hear anything in my headphones when I connect my mic to my phone, I wanted to record voice overs when I’m not home and do calls with 😂
If your on BandLab make sure you go in the setting when your in the studio and where the bpm is and all that scroll down to mic it’s always selected as your iPhone mic at first
Do you record straight from your phone and this is what the audio sounds like when it’s all plugged in ? I have all my equipment but when I record a video on my phone the audio just sounds like a normal iPhone recording not like the crisp sound I’m hearing from the mic and headphones
Yeee i got you. So this was what i originally linked but the price has seem to gone up amzn.to/3Q3QSbm So if you’re looking for a cheaper one. This seems to be pretty good too but i literally dunno cause i dont have this one amzn.to/3D20Eqv ^ make sure to test it right away so if it doesn’t work you can return it asap
I plug in my mic and works but the problem is that is on even with out an app open so I hear my self over videos or music. When I try to record is sounds like echo How I turn it off? So it will work only on app like BandLab or GarageBand
Mb didn’t see this. Hopefully u found something. If not, yes it’ll help out with microphones. But depending on ur guitar n tings looking for stuff one of those XLR converters would be clutch for audio equipment.
Hiiiii please can you help me my external microphone when i plug in with the otg cabel the light is turning on but my camera is not catching my voice please helppppp😢
The power ic chip off my iPhone has burst out and made my phone dead! On over heating by this microphone method! I didn’t apple cable, maybe that’s the point!
Are you using the blue yeti with the xr? I think some microphones draw too much power especially on older iphones. If you have the otg cable that allows you to connect with power sometimes that helps
yo i have a scarlett and i dont have the money to buy an adapter, but i got a cord thats c-type to iphone charger you kno. but when i tried that it didnt work it went right from my phone to the audio interface. do you kno the reason for that? my brother broke my computer n im desperate to record music bruh 😂
Damnnn u down bad rn without a computer lol. Ummm im thinking the scarlett prolly needs power. If u can cop one of the lightning adapters that let you plug in a power bank or something like this it should be good: amzn.to/3EMoXcX Just find one that has the best ratings and ships to ur house quick, so you can test it right away cause some of them are faulty and don’t work so u can return it right away
Can this separate the mic audio from the headset audio? Let say if was tryna record a song while the beat was playing but I didn’t want the beat getting picked up in the recording just my voice
the recording works but i have to either unplug the cable or plug in a headphone to hear the recording. is there a way to keep the phone speaker as the audio output?
You need a microphone that has a mic input and you also have to use a USB hub that has a power supply. The method in this video doesn't work for all mics. Some mics are too powerful to be able to only use the lightning port.
I connected USB gaming headphones for playing PUBG when I turn mic on the game sound is totally gone turn off again game sound on any solution for that?
yea, you can buy a special audio interface for mobile recording OR there are ways to route your current one to mobile. just need a couple things like a usb hub and an adapter like the one in this vid
Mb i thought i responded to this. Assuming u have that at2020 is an xlr cable. You’ll need phantom power. Any mixer can usually do this. But i got a cheap knock off one from Amazon that uses a 12v battery then plug it into the otg cable to my phone: amzn.to/3jqzrXE
But if you have the budget and want a quality mixer for the future, I’d want to invest in something like the scarlet cause you can get two inputs so clutch for instruments, podcast and more control with better mics bit.ly/3jmlgmn
Yea! works with voice memo and the camera app. Just gotta remember to unplug if you wanna listen to the recording thru ur iPhone speakers. Or get the OTG with a headphone jack
@@dylankyang You're wasting money if you do not get the one with headphone jack, and recording with bluetooth is still not an option in the year 2023 unless you train your brain to compensate for the echo delay which like why would you lol
Ye i agree, headphone jack is key. But sometimes ppls budget cant stretch that far so it just really depends on everyones use case and situation so i just try to list as many options as possible unless there’s more details so we can give a specific answer. lol i guess all I’m trying to say is if it gets the job done, it’s not technically a waste of money
Do you know if there is a way to fix my problem? My mic records nice a loud on my laptop, but when I connect it to my iPad it’s super quiet and if I try going closer to the mic it stops working becuase I’m too loud.
what program r u using? check the software your recording on and see if you can monitor the audio level when you're recording (theres usually a bar that is green, yellow, red). as long as ur input isn't recorded too hot (the levels go red) then you can adjust the gain to increase ur sound after
@@dylankyang I’m using band lab and for some reason I can only turn it up a little bit after wards. I’ll try using an editing app and then putting it in band lab to get rid of background noise.
Yeah, It looks like you would need to record you audio separate from your video and then put it together during editing. Unless you can get an adapter for your USB-C from the Focusrite to the Iphone.
I got the same mic and I need this for it I’m tryna get better quality in my music and how is the adapter still holding up I know it’s been a while since you first got it can we get a update?
That's awesome! the blue yeti is a great mic for any use. and should come clutch for whatever music you wanna create! i think its been about 6 months with the adapter? and its still seems to be holding up well. I've been reckless with this one tossing it in my bag and whatnot but as long as the cable is straight sounds good as new. (if you bend it, sometimes there's static. but not often). I'll try to film an update on how it sounds still to compare. and maybe if i can force the static noise so you'll know what i'm talking about I'd still recommend on getting the apple ones if occasional equipment failure isn't an option (like for one take, or serious jobs). but if it's for yourself i feel like the amazon ones price point you can't really go wrong with these cables. just get one with really high reviews
They def have usbc otg cables already! amzn.to/3lJFozR I’m not too sure the specs of ur mic but I’d assume your phone won’t have enough power. So I’d also recommend getting a powered usb hub so it’ll give the mic extra juice amzn.to/3ZagpDz
oh I have the same thing, only when I record on the phone it makes a terrible beeping sound, (but when I record audio from a laptop it doesn’t) 😭😭😭 did you solve this problem? Or do I need to buy a new adapter
@@hotdukraine oh no! if it's still beeping, ya I'd check to see if you can return it and get a new one cause you could've gotten a defective unit. no beep on the laptop is good so then we know the mic should be fine. so it's probably the adapter or the phone... hmm what microphone do you have? maybe try another cord or plugging in the iphone lightning power cord to the adapter if you bought one of these: amzn.to/3Q3QSbm cause sometimes the mic might pull too much power the phone cant supply
You’ll just have to get a usbc otg cable like this amzn.to/3lJFozR but i dunno why these are harder to find with good reviews. So just test it out immediately to see if it works otherwise return it and try another one. But after that it should just work. What usb mic do u have?
I actually just used the iphone camera app or just the iphone voice memo for our stuff. But I’ve tried a bunch of apps n could try to recommend one if you need any feature in particular. What u tryna record?
