Thank you so much for these Luna video tutorials Corey. I am one of those who believe that words are worth more than hundreds of likes. You are an excellent guitarist and a magnificent instructor and communicator. Your videos have taught me a lot.🙏🙏🙏❤
I just got an ox and must say that I’ve been blown away by it. Tried a cab m and a captor previously and it just sounded flat and digital to me. This thing gave me goosebumps when I turned up the headphones. Great vid man!
Corey, do you simply trust your ear to choose between the amps effects versus the effects available in OX? For example, with the TR Bloomfield Drive, the reverb is sublime. And the Plate Reverb in OX is really great, too? And have you blended the two?? Assuming it's going to depend on the amp you're connected to, but was curious what your thought process was. Thanks, Corey!!
At 6:10 you mentioned that you have your ox utilizing two outputs so you can send each mic two a different channel.. Are you saying you are sending each mic to it’s own input in LUNA? Basically creating two tracks at once? If this is so, how did you do this!?
@@coreycongilio I’ve never tried that!! I’ll mess around with it and see if I can set it up. Could you make a video and include that channel assignment along with maybe some personal presets on the OX?
Hey dude. I've got an OX and its great but I'm thinking my focusrite interface can't handle the analogue to digital processing. Am I losing out by not using OX with an apollo twin?
@@coreycongilio Got the TR CRS and saving for a Bloomfield! Talk about amazing amps man!! Love your Demos!!! Really Debating getting a TS-1 what are your thoughts Bloomfield or TS-1? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TKbtaBu1HL4.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7yCZacMeYAM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3MYNjlsGEPg.html
New to OX Box. Set Ox to Apollo x4 via optical Toslink. I am able to record fine w/ guitar directly into the Apollo but when I try to run the guitar though the OX box I don't get any metered sound or audible sound from my monitors. The ox box is putting sound out through the Apollo since I can see metered sound registering in the OX box controller on my mac so i'm assuming I'm missing something on my Luna input/output settings or a console setting. I've selected every input available in Luna and get nothing. Thanks so much
Hello! I'm new to recording, is it possible to record two track simultaneously with the ox? Like, could I send one direct to my audio interface and a second one like in a tape echo then to the interface?
Hey Max. I suppose you could however, you’d be sending all of OX’s effected sound, cab, mic, room etc to the echo. No wrong answers of course but, just making you aware!
Yeah ok. BUT. For what I think are the best digital amp/pedal board emulations, check out Gig Performer bundled for Musicians by Plug In Alliance. They have a lot of UA stuff as well. Andy Fuchs agrees it's the real thing. Well... I'm a pro digital photographer and a guitar player and believe digital has just about caught analogue in Music, like Digital caught- and passed- Analogue/film back 5-8 years ago. That's just qualitative, mind you. The other pluses of going digital in Music are obvious- your back will love you.Get the bundle for musicians.
I hear ya. However, OX isn't an amp modeler. Common misconception. Its a load box with cabinet emulation, mic modeling, room sound and post fx. I can use my amp and have the experience of it cranked at any volume as if I was in the studio. Love ALL of the modeling products out there but, this one allows me to use MY amps! Lots of fun!
CoreyCongilio I had the Bugera. Along with Helix and amps and tons of celestion and ownhammer ir’s but moved to UWS and don’t have room for amps. Plus, the neighbors are much happier. You must be playing in an apartment across the river. Don’t your neighbors freak?
@@WickBeavers Not at all! OX is an attenuator as well as a direct recording device so, I'm playing a 100w amp with no complaints! Although I do crank it up from time to time!
Might be a dumb question, i have an ox box, but i only use it as an attenuator. Can i use the di to record into my focusrite interface and then into my ableton daw? Or it only works with apollo and luna? Thanks
CoreyCongilio i just spent the last hour doing it. It sounds great solves a lot of problems, however i cant get it to sound anywhere like you haha i get a lot of noise like if it were clipping, but its not. Oh well ill keep trying. Thank you
