Obviously impossible considering nobody can do Jim Carrey better than Jim Carrey. So Tommy just kinda made a fool of himself and ruined otherwise great potential to be a great two face.

He's playing the straight man. In the original Men in Black, he was worried that he wasn't funny, but the producers told him to trust them. Jones even brought his own element into the film because he didn't like the script that much, so he ad-libbed a lot, and it worked well with Smith because, as a result, it made him look like a rookie trying to keep up (which is exactly what J is)!

Less than a year after this came out, I was at the post office and 3 guys in black suits walked in. The guy at the counter saw them and yelled into the back that MIB was here.

I had never seen the original MIB, only MIB2, so I had no idea exactly who K was before. This movie does an excellent job of not requiring the previous film to have a coherent story, and I appreciate that
