It only tastes like meat to you cuz you haven't had a real juicy burger in years LOL. A chef especially could tell the difference I'm sure.

Boopydoot its never going to taste exactly like real meat, but it doesnt mean it does taste good in its own way! in my experience people that are vegan or veg don’t necessarily want the taste or texture of meat esp in burgers when its a bit bloody sometimes

I was being facetious about people who haven't had meat in a long time telling meat-eaters something "tastes like the real thing" when sis it doesn't XD. Of course it can still taste good! I wouldn't say Indian food is hardly celebrated, it's celebrated quite heavily in the UK. With it being voted our 2nd favourite form of takeaway (behind Chinese).

It wasn't some chef's unique spin or take on something, or a modernized version or something totally unheard of before, thereby making it harder to guess, all of which btw have been the cornerstones for the previous episodes.

Have you ever been to one of those restaurants where there's absolutely no light? There's a chain called 'Dark Table Restaurant', the restaurant is completely pitch black and visually impaired servers guide you through your meal. I went to one a few months ago, and I chose the 'surprise me' menu option. I could not tell, at all, what I was eating. I couldn't identify the meat, the vegetables, the wine or the dessert. Since that experience, I am humbled and also incredibly impressed with what Chris does.

I think they do it like that because there are times he buys ingredients but decides not to use them. Also, some ingredients are already at the test kitchen that he doesn’t need to purchase. Just a guess.
