Recreating my D&D characters in Baldur's Gate 3 

On the off chance you haven't discovered it, the "Greying" option for the hair isn't just for greying - you can tint the hair with another color, making a deeper black, or brighter white or whatever else.

Let’s face it: All of us are going to spend our first 3 hours of Baldur's Gate 3 on character creation.

You can always tell a D&D player by how they talk about their characters as if they are real people. This got me and my friends in trouble at a previous job when someone overheard us talking about our characters and thought we had witnessed an actual murder.

Yes! Na'Krasha & Elliwyn adventures go! After that an evil AF play-through with Augury would be dope.

I love the character creation in BG3 but, I have to admit, I would have loved to see sliders for facial structures as well. That would have been amazing to customize our characters even more to how we envision them.

BG3 content I'd like to see from you: A full let's play series of you just enjoying the game naturally. No chat influencing decisions or trying to go fast to get videos up regularly. Just record hours upon hours of your natural experience and put them up as you go.

I would loooove to see you actually play the game for the first time. Individuals like yourself, passionate about DnD, roleplay and storytelling, are simply a joy to watch discover this gem of a game. Joining you on that adventure would be an absolute honor and a privilege! And if you don't feel like sharing that private time with the internet, I'd love to see a video about your thoughts on the game once you finish it!

I sincerely hope they release more hairstyle options for the character creator in a future patch.

In defense of the Outlander background, it's honestly one of the more consistently useful backgrounds in 5e.

Ginny actually has a Gnome Barbarian, I love everything about that.

i don't really have time to watch full let's plays (especially of a game like bg3 which is ENORMOUS) but when people cut together fun pieces from their playthroughs (either to create a cohesive story without a lot of the running around and minor encounters; or just a mish mash of stuff) i really, really love it! it's soooo much editing work so i get why it's not as popular or attainable, but realistically that's the kind of video i'd sit down to watch all the way through. i think it'd be really interesting to see you roleplay your way through the game, since i think a lot of other popular streamers probably don't focus on the rp- and character-side of things as much! either way i hope you have fun with the game!!! 🥰(also maybe if you ever mod the game down the line, seeing your takes on the characters with mods (maybe able to land more accurately to what you envision with more choices) could be fun too!)

I made a Half Orc Monk named, Woe Souli. Basically half wood elf and half orc. His journey is to temper his violent orc nature through his way of the 4 elements monk practice. He has taken a liking to Lae'zel for her direct and forceful nature. Seeing a lot of himself in her but driven with a purpose. No spoilers but for my character or perhaps me as the player can see her conviction may have consequences that Woe Souli would want to steer her away from. Also, can't wait to her how your BG3 adventure goes. I have so many cool moments already and I only just got to act 2.

I love how so far my characters have either been recreations of funny cast from various dnd shorts or videos or the most egregious looking abomination possible with the most normal looking companion or vise versa

6:23 Oh thank goodness, it's not just me! I feel like i end up defaulting to Outlander or Far Wanderer for so many of my characters, because "They've travelled a long way from home" is how most adventurers seem to start out!

Now we need a mod that can import data from the Epic / unreal engine face capture to drop into the character creator so your in game character can have your real life face.

I think seeing you play it and giving insight into things you like for home game use would be fun. Probably not breaking new ground, but you're a respected creator and commentator on how to run table sessions. Additionally, seeing your genuine reactions to each of the Acts and how you personally navigate them would be fun. It's really a totally different game for different people.

I think an edited summary of your adventure could be really fun! Like retelling a tabletop session, but with game fotage to support the retelling. Maybe give it a 15-20 minute video about the opening area and start of act 1, then see how it performs? You could even VA one of your original characters! 🤓

I would love like a highlight reel going over your experiences playing the game. So far I have made only my shameless self insert but I definitely want to make my msin characters just need them to update a few sub classes.

BG3 is showing all the freedom and fun you can have in D&D, so do a whole playthrough with darkness, shadows and light and show it! Of course we need explosions, jumps, lovestories, all the good stuff ;-)

I loved your cover of "Weeping Dawn"; it would be amazing to also see a Ginny Di original song based on one of the BG3 Origin Characters at some point!

I liked that you selected spells and abilities based on your character instead of thinking ahead of what would be the best to power through the game itself. Makes it more fun and interesting.

I'd love a disscusion about the magic itms the game gives you, because they feel like far more incramental power ups than the ones from the DMG and the PHB

Character creation and using the game to play through my ever-expanding wishlist of characters I want to play are the best parts of the game. Also I am screaming over Na'Krasha and Elliwyn being canon!

I know it took Ginny a long time to make those characters, but this has probably been my favorite video of hers (and I love the music videos). It's the same Critical Role effect where you have people who create D&D characters and suddenly they come to life in an animated way. Very cool. Would love to see some gameplay and whether Ginny makes choices based on her character or based on not dying in Baulder's Gate.

I would like to see you create maybe a new character or one we haven't seen in game. Play it for a while as you develop any story for them than do an IRL costume for that character.

Would love to see a video about what you can take from BG3 back to your table! Myself, I've been playing a sorcerer and I've been casting Friends left and right, it's helped me realize how valuable utility spells and non-combat casting can be, and I'm looking forward to bringing some of that to my next session!

This was super fun to watch and I think the Baldur's Gate content I might be most interested in is maybe seeing your take cosplay wise on some of the characters from the game.

To make hair True White or Black you need to click on the "Grey" buttons... chose the appropriate color and then MAX that slider bar. You'll see how it automatically darkens (or lightens) the color to be more of a True White/Black instead of a washed out grey variant (Edit: I'm referring to the extra options below the main color)

The BG3 characters all look beautiful and fantastic . . . but are just missing that special dose of Ginny 'cuteness' ! 😊

I spent 2 hours making my Eladrin Druid (Had to settle with using the High Elf…💔) D&D character in BG3. Made me so happy to see her come to life. 😊

OMG, I did the same thing with my dream Guardian. I ran my Halfling Thief Bean, and mad her dream Guardian modeled after Halete, her enby Beau. I really like that you can make the dream Guardian like that.

I am a DM with BG3. After watching this, I went and did the same for my group's 5 PCs. I was annoyed there was no soul patch goatee for the Barbarian or the limited scarring option for the Necromancer's face.

Haven't played the game but whenever I can the first thing I am going to do is this exactly: create versions of my actual D&D PCs.

My first BG3 character was my dnd character I currently play in partner's homebrew that's a Tiefling rogue. It's a lot of fun having 2 ways to play the same character and play about with roleplaying ideas. The whole idea that it's alt realties is fun for me.

For the last two weeks or so I've been watching RU-vid videos where some I could hear just fine, but others it sounded like I was going deaf, or the volume was on the lowest setting next to mute or close to the lowest setting. I thought I might need to replace my headphones, but they worked fine depending on what I was listening. I had also wondered if I'd accidently lowered one of the volume controls on my laptop. So, finally I'm watching this video today and I try hovering over the video and turning up the volume of this video. My RU-vid videos in general volume. And now of course I can hear things clear as day. So, for what it's worth, Thank you. Just to prove I was paying attention my favorite part of your video was the fact that you couldn't give Augury a bird skull amulet, but you could give her bird skull earrings.

Hey Ginny! If you do end up playing BG3, I think it would be great to see a video(s) of funny or surprising moments in your playthrough, highlights etc. Assuming you don't want to post like a full let's play or something =)

I played dnd for 10 years now, I created hundreds of PC's as a player and even more NPC's as DM. Still when I had to creat my PC in BG3 I spent like 2 hrs and a half trying different combinations. Glad the menu saved the aspect and class of a PC if you switch to another race.

I would love to hear your opinions on the BG3 companions - especially what your characters might think of them!

I think it would be cool if they heavily expand the character creator and sell it as it's own thing for folks who want a character creation tool for things outside of the game (e.g., tabletop rpgs, stories, etc.)! I would buy it in a heartbeat.

2:14 my drow cries. Before getting back to caring more about the fact that these mind flayer powers seem to open up new possibilities than the fact that everyone might turn into a mind flayer. And someone made a mod that adds a lot of races/species/whatever to BG3. Maybe I'll try to recreate Mariska, though her warlock patron wouldn't exactly line up.

All that's needed is a bit more comprehensive of a character creator and I could see Baldurs Gate being an extremely useful tool for generating images for tokens for online play! More hair styles, more lineages, and some more body sliders.
