This used to be one of my favorite bike rides, except I always made a loop around Zuiderplas at the beginning. All this greenery surely brings back happy memories. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for this video. this looks like a dream sunday to me, just take the bike and go on a trip, without being afraid of cars, just enjoying the beautiful city. watching from brazil
A superb scenic ride through nature and agricultural landscapes; love the old farm houses and barns and wish I had the money to buy that house that was for sale ha ha. Great to see so many people walking and cycling on a beautiful day. Thanks for showing it to us.
It is lovely just to ride a bicycle in the Netherlands where you are ensured of your safety. Seperate cycle tracks ensure that you don't collide with any cars, you are not pressurised by impatient drivers who honk like crazy just to get ahead just because cars are much faster than bikes. After all slow moving vehicles have a ride to space of their own to ride upon. Thanks for sharing this video.😃
I was binge watching your videos and ... Thanks for the video and I hope make a visit to the zuiderzee and bike on the sea wall, I find it really fascinating.
Nice and smooth ride. What did you use to record this? I used a GoPro to record rides but with no gimbal and so the video image vibrates too much. Your video is very smooth and enjoyable to watch.
Mr. Bicycle Dutch, maybe it's time for a belt-driven bicycle? So we never hear again agonizing creaks of your chain... Anyway, pleasant visuals, as always!
That doesn’t happen to Dutch bikes enough to make it affordable. Seldom we have broken bicycle chains here. If it happens it is always a very old bike, we call “een barrel”. And since we have more bicycles than people, a spare chain is not really a challenge. And the more handy Dutch, just repair their chain themselves, also not really a challenge. In my life there were many attempts for new technology, but we stick to our basic bikes, because they are good enough, and very important to us, new technology has to proof itself, and is often expensive. What we have works good enough, and fits in the main bicycle technology infrastructure of The Netherlands. More over, there is not that much to win with new technology for bicycles, a basic bike is surprisingly effective, compared to the input energy. So why invest in exotic bikes? It is often a pain in the ass to find both mechanics who know that technology and spare parts. Not practical enough, we are very practical here. His chain could have some treatment, agreed. But put it in citron acid water solution, until the bubbles are gone, put it in oil, and then it is good to go again.
