Rectangular Jelly Roll Rug Tutorial 

if you are cutting your own fabric and batting, you can experiment with widths. i had good luck with 3” wide fabric and 1.5” wide batting. all the “official” rug videos are trying to sell you their products but this method of folding fabric around batting can be used a variety of ways. practice on some scraps and make potholders, coasters, trivets, fabric baskets, rugs or even tote bags using this same method.

I wanted to make a jelly roll rug but it takes so much fabric and it's so time-consuming I don't know I just embarrassed about it your video makes me feel more comfortable, so for that thank you and God bless. I almost hope to say it because it seems so simple and so much easier but couldn't the same exact rectangular rug and look as a jelly roll rectangle rugby achieved by tripling three layers of batting or four layers of batting cotton on the front cotton on the back as if you were making a quilt I'm a quilter and then quilting zigzag lines an inch apart to make it appear like a jelly roll rug cutting corners and making it so much quicker and easier? Just a thought I get the cinnamon and making the jelly roll rug but it seems like you'd use so much less fabric and batting and much quicker? Well let me know if you or anyone else has ever tried it that way?! I'm thinking about trying it myself.... If I do I'll try to post a picture too... Anyway just an idea, from an old lady who's still learning ....🤔 😉😊. Much love 💕and many prayers 🙏 Jen.
