What other pain in the body do we not examine? I argue that the pelvic exam is extremely underutilized in the evaluation of recurrent urinary tract infection.
How do we actually define a UTI?
How to intelligently interpret the UA and only use this as a screening test. The Urine Culture is necessary to confirm the infection and that the presenting symptom is actually due to a bacteria.
What is the recommendation for an acute UTI by the Infectious Disease Society?
What do you do when people have multiple antibiotic allergies?
Behavioral strategies to reduce UTIs.
How we can change our gut microbe and change our UTI risk.
How your vaginal health affects your UTI risk.
How your microbiome affects your UTI risk.
How the post menopausal state increases the risk for UTI.
Therapeutic interventions for UTI: suppressive antibiotics and the risks associated with antibiotics.
Does cranberry work? How about Vitamin C? Any prescription preventative measures? UTI Options.
When is a cystoscopy a good idea in the workup of a UTI?
Antibiotic stewardship

I have recurrent UTI's and I am NOT dehydrated. I drink constantly all day long. The first sign I usually get of a UTI is a strong odor which evolves into burning soon after on urinating, constant feeling I have to go, and a heavy sensation in the pelvis.

I’m so sick of having UTIs like every month. After back surgery I have to self cath and that makes me more prone to them.

Wish all docs were like this one! Self empowerment is rarely taught in a doctors office.

My mothers uti was cured by evanol cream which is s female hormonal cream. She had taken oral antibiotics and well as antibiotic injection courses but the infection would return after a week or two. Ultimately the infection was cured by just a few applications of this cream.

I like the way this Doctor minimizes the problem of recurrent UTIs and jokes about sending them out for useless procedures. She is indicative of the problem that women are having with uncaring care givers.

Sadly, it's clear that she's not at all familiar with embedded UTIs, but that doesn't surprise me.

This is super helpful. I don’t have reoccurring UTI’s but just finished antibiotics for an abscess. And I got waxed amongst other things. For vitamin c, I took 3oz of fresh acerola juice and a 16oz bottle of kombucha. The next morning I felt closer to normal. I wish more doctors were this transparent and easy to understand. Thank you 💕💕💕
