Introducing A THOUSAND SUNS, a mind-bending science fiction anthology series of short stories that explores visions of humanity’s future, shaped by the actions of our world today: a gateway to our hopes, dreams and nightmares.
The series was created by Macgregor and produced by BlackMilk Studio. The first six episodes were directed by Ruairi Robinson, Macgregor, Tyson Wade Johnston and Tim Hyten, written in collaboration with screenwriter Philip Gelatt.

Synopsis:
On the vast expanse of an alien desert, a heretic faces her accusers and casts judgment on them.

Loved this one most out of the six episodes. The acting, the music, the sound, the environment, all very well done. They should expand on this one and if they don't, hopefully I win the lottery or something so I can hire the production crew.

I like how these stories include references to Lovecraft and the 13th century Codex Gigas aka Devil's Bible. It is like humanity has progressed to the point where it is on the outer limit of Arthur C. Clarke's three laws and is challenging the gods themelves.

While I know 'show, don't tell' is important, I wish there was a tad bit more 'show' in this context. Only because I think there is some serious untapped potential with this piece. Great stuff otherwise, the visual storytelling and how it's linked with the world-building (the Aztec inspiration, etc.), the acting, and the music. *Italian chef kiss*

I liked the first one better because I understood the conclusion, the guy got eaten. This one I have no idea what it means. Was hoping that god would have shown and used his mighty wrath against the priest for needlessly killing the woman, or the woman turned into the god and in human form and smited the priest and his followers in shock

It looks like she used the artifacts and manuals mentioned in the verdict to infuse herself with some sort of "dead man's switch"/"tech poison", causing the high-tech execution device used by the cult leaders (instead of simple sword or stoning, to impress their flock with control over its powers) to go Chernobyl on them.

this animation is quite impressive. the punishment for wrong can't be decided by one action alone inline there must be cause and reason to be analysed properly.
