It's 2001. Saturday morning. You just finished watching your favorite saturday morning cartoon. Mom and dad went out for errands. You boot up the computer, pop in the CD-ROM for Yuri's Revenge. Life is good.
"Empty your mind. Only total compliance can save the lives of you and your family. The less you know, the better off you will be. I am Yuri.... Obey me."
The Red Alert 2 soundtrack always gives me the chills/creeps. 😖😖😖 It just seems like all of Yuri's monstrous machines gathered together for a musical orchestra.
It sounds like at dusk or just before dawn, spotlights turn on all fixed on this big machine or vehicle or superweapon as it turns on, and you are looking at it like those tilted up camera angles that conveys the subject of the shot's power. And then the supervillain is right in front of it making crazy speeches of ruling the world or something like that. Like that tune at the beginning that plays a lot in other parts of the game
I'm not so sure. Westwood's old employees remastered the first one and they did a great job, but RA2 doesn't have primitive graphics, low quality cutscenes and has a unit queue. I'd be thrilled if a remaster for that came too but I wouldn't have high expectations. And I'd be supporting EA, and we know what didn't happen with CNC4.
no bro.., prism tanks explode easily .., I dare you play the game and match 6 prism tanks vs 3 deployed desolators ..., I double dare you..., proves that you only played allied countries..,
Hmmm from what i remember i outranged most desolators on games i played for some reason. nah nevermind, never really fought with iraq that much anyway.
Both games are great but if you said " ra2 yuri's revenge is better than ra3" oh no no its not even close, the yuri's division was boring imo not having too much troops and tanks especially the marines as compared to the rising sun division in ra3. Also there are no campaigns for yuri tho so that was lame tbh.
Fun fact: both "Brain Freeze" and "Drok" used quotes from old science fiction movies in them (and, in point of fact, both tracks have quotes from the SAME movie; the lines "Your fear of helplessness is your best friend, savage!" and "The power of pure intellect" both come from the movie _The Brain from Planet Arous_ !)
still playing this game am a proud owner who plays this since release, a top quality game that will never die out, if EA finally decides to hand out this game "freeware" they would actually make so many people very happy

@Harumi Kagaya He was referring to the part that computers back in those days were really bad and yuris revenge could crash them by having too many explosions happening on screen at the same time. Happened to my crappy pc a few times god bless its nonexistent soul! XD
When you got six apocalypse to defeat yuri "B E W A R N W I T H Y U R I ~" Yuri got six apocalypse tank onto your base, and they destroyed your construction yard. Me: *battle control terminated*
0:44 I always thought it says "the power of your insolence", kek, given the fact that English is not my native language. Now I know it's actually "the power of pure intellect", sure
