It's only a roll (simply rotating the plane about its roll axis, using the ailerons) Hardly any real G forces involved.

Some corners and heavy breaking exert up 6G in an F1 car. Some of the crashes can easily exceed 50G.

@@bigjus3751 But 6G in F1 is way easier to handle than 6G in a plane. The human body is much more tolerant of g-force when it is applied laterally (across the body) than when applied longitudinally (along the length of the body).

No, Lewis didn't try the simulator. He flew twice, once with Red 6 (Chris Lyndon-Smith) and once with Red 4 (Martin Pert) :)

Such an awesome feeling! I got to fly in an L39C Albatros, so amazing! Made me want to buy a plane (as you can buy them) and get my pilots license. To all, I highly recommend searching for flights, for something like $500 you can fly in a jet plane, and sometimes even take the controls yourself. Helluva'n experience!

Lord Hain, who sits on the All Party Parliamentary Group for F1 has pointed out that Hamilton is among the 5,000 tax-payers in the country due to his work for Brackley-base Mercedes team, and he also donates millions each year to charities.

I searched for this video after reading about Coulthard and Ham joing the red arrows in Wing CDR David Montenegros book "The Red Arrows". Which is a fantastic read and I'd recommend to anyone. As he points out. The hawk does 600mph so it wouldn't really have been a fair race!
