Good points but a DJI Pocket 2 or 3 combo is a better start for most low budget film makers or RU-vid creators imho. It has a gimbal, rack focusing, d-cine like profile, wireless audio and monitor (your phone), it's only negative is slight distortion on the edges using the wide angle lens but it can be fixed by corner pinning in Premier Pro. I got the Pocket 2 combo used for $275 USD and take it everywhere.
I've never really liked the form factor of the DJI pocket cams. Also you are giving up a significant amount of dynamic range on this camera when compared to the newer Iphones. The lack of multiple lenses is also an issue. However I agree it's a great price, and the gimbal built in and the ability to plug in audio is great. Personally I prefer filming on the DJI Action 2 which is my favorite small camera.
You nailed every point I’ve been making about this talking point. Good story telling, lighting and framing go a long way for making up for a substandard camera.
Sony Xperia Cinema Pro App, shoot on lut Venice CS shoot 23.98 FPS. A-B manual focus ranking. Hammers Apples. 24mm 16mm or 85-125mm all optical zoom lens. What you got outside lighting your interior...A brut. Sony Xperia Anamorphic lens coming soon. Apple will be a thing of the past. Music pro app on Sony for studio quality audio, used by recording artists. So audio is better than iclone. 🤣
I am really impressed by your work! (and I'm a picky eater) you really deserve a bigger community! That being said, I saw the first version and I must say that the editing and the story made me forget that it was an iphone... Your work is motivating and I hope you'll continue for a long time!
