A release by Wax Poetics Records. This 2xLP gatefold release contains the full score to the video game Red Dead Redemption. It was pressed on translucent red vinyl and released back in 2010, making this a hugely sought after release. There is a vinyl exclusive track on this album, and this release also contains the licensed music by a few various artists

I do not personally own this, but I want to give my biggest thanks to my friend hossy55 in the video game vinyl community for being so generous and lending me this album to play and record for my RU-vid channel. This is one of the most rarest video game vinyl soundtracks to possibly ever exist and being able to say I have played it on my own turntable is just amazing. Thanks again!

This OST Vinyl is incredibly expensive. I don't know if it's always been, but here in Sweden it costs around 5000 SEK for those I've even managed to FIND. Insane.

Nope, it was 20-something dollars back in 2010/2011 when it came out. I had it in my Amazon cart for some time but ended up never buying it because it went out of print very quickly. Damn.

Yes, when the vinyl was brand new, it was cheap, but due to collectability over time, it being a popular series, and not having a repressing, it fetches for very high prices in the aftermarket nowadays On Discogs, it is currently for sale for $725, or 8000 SEK. This release was also never sold on Amazon as far as I know - Only on the Rockstar Games Warehouse shop (while supplies lasted) while also offering digital versions of the soundtrack on iTunes, Amazon, and physical CD

Ya, you know, I dont think thats so. Its probably just copied straight from the CD or MP3 file of the soundtrack.

It likely is just digital>analog. If anything it’s mastered to sound nice on vinyl, but it’s not going to sound any better or worse than digital I think, especially since this is a notoriously junky pressing

When good recorded still nothing beats a CD. If only digital & you want best quality it has to be .FLAC, not mp3 etc. I still only buy Vinyl but for the full eargasm the CD is still the best for us.

I doubt it, but is there a CD for this? I looked online to no avail, that includes the vinyl and a potential CD. I’m sure it’s because this is almost a decade old, but if there is a CD by chance, please let me know.

Damn, I wish I had bought this and the Undead Nightmare soundtrack on CD back in 2011. The prices are INSANE now. This LP pressing is just a bit too noisy and distorted for my tastes.

It’s known to be a not so great pressing. Some copies sound better than others, but you can definitely expect a lot of surface noise with this album

This is so gay... Its not old. It doesnt work. Its the same music that was created for the game... Only shit that actually released on vinyl back when vinyl was a thing is worth getting... This shits on youtube... And the scratchyness was coded into the music.. they tried to hard. Actually doesnt sound anything like a real vinyl
