Thanks for this information. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on rifled vs smoothbore barrels for first strike rounds. Do you have experience with these that you would be willing to share?
Hi there, that would be a great video 👍😎 I currently run the stock smoothbore on my T15 and it just shoots everything pretty consistently. At short to medium distances the accuracy gain of rifeled over smoothbore for FSR is minimal. If you like to run and gun through buildings etc you probably won't get the benefit and may want to spend the cash on other upgrades or gear to speed up your reloads 😉. If your style of play is more medium to long range or want to get into sniper style play, thats when the investment in a rifled barrel pays off. The FSR just shoot straighter and take longer to arc\drop off with the additional spin from the rifled barrel. They also land with a tighter group on target at distance. I keep looking at getting a rifled barrel, but then spend the cash on other gear lol, It will happen one day! Hope that helps buddy 😎
Tactical Magfed : Thanks. This is good information. I have a Tacamo Hurricane and it seems to shoot FSR pretty well through a smoothbore, but I have been eyeing the nemesis barrel upgrade for mid to long range. I generally pull out my Tipx sidearm when I get up really close. When you speak of upgrades to speed up reloading, what are you referring to? Mag release mods? I’m new to mag fed, so all of this info is valuable when choosing where to spend the $$$. Thanks again.
Hi, sorry must have missed this comment 😱 The Nemesis barrels are awsome barrels! If you are going to get one check on some of the forums if anyone has used one with the Hurricane and what length they reccomend. Most people get the longest barrel they can thinking it will be the most accurate or give the most distance. Which is not always the case, unless you are setting up a dedicated sniper rifle like a SAR12 (which comes with a 20" barrel), T15 scout or 468 bolt action markers. On a standard marker most recomend a 14"-16" barrel tops. In terms of the upgrades, I was referring to magazine pouches, tac vest\plate carrier and battle belt setup. Having the right mag pouch placement and gear setup can make a big difference when changing your mags. I will be putting out a chest rig setup video soon and hopefully a full loadout guide too. It’s more about bore size of the barrel. If you have a smooth bore but the FSR are way smaller than the barrel it’s not gonna be as accurate. A rifled barrel helps with distance mostly. In my experiences. As I only use FSR
@@xT1MOTHYx thanks for the input. I ended up with a 14” nemesis and I have been happy with the performance, particularly at mid to long range - it seems to be a really snug fit to the rounds which helps a lot - like you suggested.
Hi there, my preference would be forward on the receiver above your mag well. If it is your main sight you might find having it on a raised sight mount and/or a riser will make it easier to use with a mask on. I wouldn't put it too close to your face or on the hand guard as it will make it difficult to sight targets. Try it in a few places and see how easy it is to sight targets. Hope that helps
@@TacticalMagfed thank you !! yea i had closer to the end of the receive so my mask was close but i lost field of view. I will put it close to the mag well thank you sir !!!
i get you your affectively manifying your game ! red dots theyre useless on tippmann or any ball guns .but they look cool , suppose thats what some of the fun factor is , iv used all sights on allsorts of guns , suppose first strike you get a chance of some accuracy . problem is you have to sight them in for true point blank at a set distance , the christmas tree reticle works best as you have many cross hairs going down the bottom post . choose one set your sight ..use higher x's for closer, lower x's for further shots . takes time but saves using one x for a set range with the balls rainbow trajectory
Hi there, yeah red dots for range just don't work. They are great for urban\cqb scenarios where the drop off off the paintball is reduced. For range and using first strikes you really need a variable scope mount that you can either zero or adjust in the field if you are good enough.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. I have had some technical issues with my mic setup on some of my videos. I'll definately take this on board and get it sorted 😎👍
