Drop-In, shell-type anchors feature an internally threaded, all-steel shell with expansion cone insert and flush embedment lip. Anchors should be installed with carbide tipped hammer drill bits made in accordance to ANSI B212.15-1994 specifications. The following video is a tutorial on how to install a Red Head drop-in anchor

It’s not rocket science. Drill the right depth, drop the anchor, set it and forget it.

Wow. They actually posted this video? This is embarrassing. FYI: I've used these. They work great. Make sure you drill ONLY the the proper depth, and get the right set tool.

I purchased the setting tool for 3/8" drop in anchors and it wouldn't fit inside the threaded portion of the anchor without damaging the threads. I had to grind down the setting tool to a diameter of 11/32" and now it works. I shouldn't have to alter a tool to make it work.

I used a standard punch it worked fine, however had no idea if I set it deep enough. . This was for a base on a commercial front load washer extractor..its been 5 years, so far so good

5 8" for 1/2" drop in? I want to set for ratchet strapping a motorcycle in garage for stability , using a 1/2" eye bolt, can I remove the eye bolt when not using this system or will this eventually cause the drop in anchor to loosen?

Doesn't loosen at all, even if you do it outside the concrete

No product number included. No showing of the tool used for the compressed air. Horrible audio. Obviously, this manufacturer has no budget for professional video production.

@@ScrewKeanu actually yes you can. I've done it since then. You have to drill them out. Thread a bolt in and yank with a pry bar. Easy as anything. 👍

If you are undertaking any project that would require a drop anchor, I can't image buying the setting tool would be out of your budget. That said, Do you have a pin punch set? I would imagine that has to work. I even saw a vid of someone using a screwdriver, not that I recommend that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
