Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis and Dave Navarro Interview (Spotlight - MuchMusic) (1995) #RedHotChiliPeppersInterview #AnthonyKiedisInterview #DaveNavarroInterview #OneHotMinute
I dont care how many fans shit on OHM...its a massive album and Navarro is a beast of a player. Ive seen them every tour since 87 and the 96 tour is easily one of their best (next to the first leg of the BSSM tour in 91 before John wanted to quit). I know they've been playing Aeroplane live here and there with Josh in the band now...but it would be great if they dug deeper and player One Big Mob or Transcending again.
I agree . The Peppers themselves don't like OHM but I think its incredibly deep and psychedelic and musically awe inspiring. There is soo much information in it, in each song, so you could listen to it a hundred times. Different to flat shit on the radio these days. OHM to me de facto seems like a port to transcendence.
Totally correct!! It has aged exceptionally well over the years, since it's original release. Dave has a style and phrasing that kicks a song like "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" into overdrive in the live performance (Woodstock'94).
OHM is their best album in my opinion. I love it because it's dark and heavy while also having the bands signature funk elements. To me it's the perfect blend of RHCP and Jane's Addiction.
Keep them rolling in, would love to see more of these 90s gems.A vain time i ve passed indeed not being fully aware of the Chilis existence, even if i did never had the chance to absorb their wonderful artistry.I m glad to be part of this musical journey with the Chilis in the current times 💗😍
Man- I felt sorry for Anthony-wish I hadn’t watched this now!! how could she just not let him kiss her / lesbian or not- smh 🤦♀️ even to just be polite- wow! Glad I wasn’t there - I’d have had to get the mike and ask for the one she missed & a hug! - ( not out of pity but to show him some ❤️ love/ he’s always been an impressive beauty to me & sweet spirit) i felt like Anthony had to take a backseat to Dave in several q/a segments here - although he’s interesting - he’s no Anthony- sorry for the rant but damn she was really rude - the closing handshake did it for her! 😳 wow! In the south we don’t act like that... sheesh and she is supposed to be a host... ok then. Not going to Ontario! Anthony I don’t care where you are or how old we are - I’ll always have a polite hug and kiss for you! If I’m married it doesn’t matter- you deserve love and respect- it’s the little things! Sorry he had to put up with that- he was being polite asking about her ring and playing with her hair - and you can tell it embarrassed him sheesh! 😢 awful! Hate this! Worst interview ever!!!

Posteriormente fue guitarrista de la banda californiana Red Hot Chili Peppers por un breve espacio de tiempo. Su carrera tiene colaboraciones con diversos grupos y artistas. 56 AÑOS. they’re so at ease and open, the interviewer really gets to the core of their identity and artistry. Most insightful clip I’ve ever seen with AK and that guy
Well that was quite out of control… but the interviewer seemed to like it. Fun to watch tho. Huge fan of both Peppers and Jane’s. I love One Hot Minute. The subtitles are in my native language, how about that! Weird because they’re in Canada.
The trials and tribulations of two completely stoned ego maniacs. As a fan of great music, I'm happy that both of these gentlemen are still alive! Things certainly could have gone a different way.
Anthony Kiedis (Grand Rapids, Míchigan; 01 de noviembre de 1962) es un músico estadounidense, vocalista y líder de Red Hot Chili Peppers. 61 AÑOS. (62) 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
People do not even know what Dave did. Here even Kiedis gives him credit, for doing all the writing, then sharing the credits to all the others....that is classy !!!
Wish there were still rock stars about! Kids these days mustn’t believe that one day rock music was cool and the people that played the music had personalities and didn’t just say things like “I love all people equal and don’t want fame or people to know my name”
20:28 I love the part of the conversation that starts here bc it's interesting, I always thought Dave never quite fit in with this band...Not saying that record sucks or anything. I actually love it! But just knowing that their manager Lindy Goetz sort of had to tame Dave's fashion sense is funny bc NO ONE in The Chili Peppers was/is into wearing makeup and dressing as flamboyant as he did. ANd I just imagine their manager saying to him "Ok, look, if you're gonna be part of this group you're gonna have to stop dressing so stupid." Lmao!!
No you can’t. Though we can see how age and sobriety have affected Anthony. To me this wasn’t being humble, he was just high. I was cringing while watching this. He’s just as much a legend in his own rite.
Yeah at first it threw me off as well, but she might not have been totally wrong. OHM is obviously the 6th studio album, but in 92/93 they released the compilation album What Hits?!, which makes OHM the 7th. Wasn't there another compilation album around 1988? And instead 5 years after BSSM it's 4, just a minor mistake.
I would just like to remind the masses... You should keep an open mind. Same as you did when you compared Californication to BSSM for the first time. Both are masterpieces. So as you should give OHM a TRUE chance, because that album KEPT THEM TOGETHER unlike any other album, aside from maybe MM. Yes it's dark. Yes it's heavy. But if you compare it to the lives of the band at the time, IT is ALSO a masterpiece. All three mentioned are irreplaceable
XD.. Ikr!! She was asking for it, she was very ''comfortable'' and a bit ''pushy'' but also very cool. Oh what I would give to get a kiss from A.K!! 😍😍
@@pricila6511 He didn't pay me either. He liked my personality. He has chicks knocking down his door. Like I said, he was the nicest guy in the world & you have to be a d*(k? about it? What's your beef? Get a life - you surely missed out on the life I led! Which was freaking Fabulous! Jealous....too bad, so sad.
@@pricila6511 You're right - he didn't pay anyone - they lined up for him. I even went up to him & said "Why don't you just bend over so they can kiss your *ss?" & he was appalled how rude I was. (Chicks would cut their arms & smear his name in blood in hotel room walls....oh the stories I could tell from those days) It's ok for Clinton to do all his sexual activities though. And accept "depends on what the word "it" means...or whatever bull. Hypocrites deluxe.
People just like to see how their favorite rockstars act and interact but they were really full of themselves and uncooperative in this interview and thought they were being funny.
I love this album, but Dave seems like he would be tough to work with. Plus, the Chili Peppers shouldn't be "backing" anybody except John IMO (By The Way was John's baby). It seems a bit like an insult to their creative talent and process. I much prefer to hear interviews from Stadium Arcadium where they describe putting the songs together as a collaborative effort.
@@cezzeboi2841 i know they were joking, but something about the way the interact with each other seems off. Like there's some sort of contention underneath the sarcasm and jokes. They don't have the friendly, chill, compassionate vibes that the Chili's usually have together in interviews. It feels like when you're trying to laugh and get along with someone that irritates you. Just how it feels to me. The chemistry is off.
@@Blarsen780They made one of their best albums with Dave (OHM) and Flea definitely likes it more than By The Way. Frusciante is great but his die-hard fans refuse to except that they made rlly good music without him too. John also worshipped Jane’s Addiction and Navarro.
