This is one of their best songs they've done. And their live sound here is arguably better than ever. Epic solo. And Chad is an absolute animal on that drum kit.
i feel that Chad is the one actually leading them in to the crescendo ending solo, althoug the connection between all of them seems amazing and unique.
Saw them live within this past year and they're incredible sounding live. I don't know what took me 39 years to see them.. but can't wait until the next show. I really started digging into the discography over the last few years when being stuck inside because of covid. Knew their radio tracks ..but, now I feel like I know them better with all the gems that are hidden in their discography.
This performance legit made me shed a tear. John & the chili peppers have played the soundtrack of my life. Through the good, & the bad. They're the band I've always turned to. Some special shit right here 🙏🏻👊🏻🔥🔥
Couldn't agree more ! John epitomizes everything that true redemption is really about... And there's no doubt he belongs in this Sensational band... 🌶💚
@@KickflipGnasty I like RHCP. I’m just stating the facts, since he never mentions how mediocre he is, or that he got Josh fired or that he killed River.
@@ojyleami specifically mentioning the band isn't taking away from the crew. It's a sad world when someone can't even compliment something without someone getting offended or thinking it isn't good enough.
John is the reason the chili peps are still around. Ya they still played and started without John but John made the band and it shows everytime he joins and records with them . For a fan to become the legend of his favorite band has to be an amazing feeling.
This live performance is just another reason why this bunch of beautiful human beings, with all their flaws, this brotherhood, this perfect quartet, are the most loving, energetic and sophisticated rock band out there, and still working, creating new music. They are so pure, authentic, even after all the money they made. Nothing against Pearl Jam, but this is different, they keep reinventing themselves while staying true to their origins. They are 60 years old, except John 52, but they make me feel like I'm transported back to 1992 at one of their live shows. I wasn't even born back then, why do I wish I had been? This is beyond just beautifully written music, their shared love and the universe's energy just flows through their fingertips and vocal chords. They rock! They inspire me and they encourage me. Thank you.
@@lovelllaurent6595 “I was trying for a while, and I wasn’t happy with anything I was doing,” he reflected. “I was either going too far in the Eddie Van Halen direction, to where it was too busy and there was too much two-hand tapping and it didn’t sound like me, or I was just doing it and it only sounded like me… in a song about Eddie Van Halen.” - John Frusciante It’s about EVH you can look it up
@@lovelllaurent6595and why do you think that? That’s what the whole song is about. All the lyrics are references to things about him like when it says please don’t remember me for what u did last night it means don’t remember me for the fact I died, remember me for the impact I’ve had
Let’s give the next generation a chance. A lot of musicians out there it’s just really hard to get big playing this kinda music now. I’m sure plenty of up and coming kids are playing for the right reasons and not just to show off..
@@TylerHumphrey05 Frusciante is a great role model and influencer for younger guitar players; he knows it’s not about wanting to get big, and he keeps his ego firmly in check.
The way Anthony is clenching the microphone and starting at John. He is genuinely amazed and loves his best friend. I can’t imagine being in his position and literally feeling the sound vibrations through the stage, and what that does to him. Incredible. This solo really blows my mind, every single time I watch it.
I choose to have rhcp on loop for my entire life their music speaks to my soul and the happiness it brings me, I hope they understand the reach they have and the impact they make.
Wow, It’s breathtaking how good this song and performance was… Anthony hitting every note but not laying back on those emotional parts… Flea carrying the entire song with thats crisp but melodic bass riff… But man… John F. is something else… It’s just unbelievable how he manage to manifest and place all the emotions and feelings he wanna show us with each note he plays. They are and will be my favorite band forever, they’re songs I’ve carried and I’ll carry with me till my last breath.
There is a connection within this band between the four of them that i just can't put into words. I feel it it though and it brings me joy like nothing else. 🙂💜
This is the kind of stuff I was waiting to see out of them after John rejoined. Like pure chemistry. It was rocky at first but they just pushed on and stuff like this is leading rock and roll coming out of the pandemic.
Never smoked a cigarette in my almost 50 years but I swear I feel I need 1 every time this song finishes!!!! Hands down my fav song on this new album. Next I reckon is my cigarette funny enough! I can see the scene in my mind, an old smoky jazz club somewhere in the 40s. Love love love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dude I'm telling you guys this, if I have the opportunity to see Frusciante do this live I'll probably cry, this guys is just a inspiration for everything that he did for the music, and how he play his guitar, with his soul.
Johns sustain sounds really good here. Those times before the main solo where he’s tapping with his right hand and holding for a while and then releasing sounds amazing.
I love John he's my real life spirit animal lol he's amazing.. Look at Anthony's Reaction he's like "Omg we never should have let him leave before!!" Lol
It’s so awesome to have John back in the band. No disrespect to others who have played for the band, they’re all great musicians, but RHCP for me is those four guys and the chemistry they share together.
reminds of the song 'tear for eddie' by dean ween, which was a tribute to eddie hazel of funkadelic.... known for his solo on maggot brain... who was a fan of hendrix.... the guitar chain of greats is a gift to appreciate
100w Marshall cranked up plus pedals. He gets infinite sustain with feedback. The sound of the stacks is so loud it’s interacting with the pickups. Nothing will really get you there besides playing standing in front of a very loud amp.
BEAUTIFUL ……………………………………………🎸John gives my that same magical amazing vibe that our dear beloved the greatest 🎸est Eddie gives me………………………I ❤ Eddie Van Halen 4EVER AND JOHN 2 🥰
Suena tan increíble!!! como cuando toca don't forget me en LA CIGALE (FRANCE) o los JAM en Slane Castle. Cuánta pasión, cuánto talento... lejos lo mejor que le ha pasado al grupo es John.
Flea and Anthony actually have shirts on! Hurray! LOL! All kidding aside, I love this phenomenal band that has stood the test of time. Long life to them all. ❤
