Damn! Over and over and over again, these guys give us brilliance! An ignorant reporter recently wrote that they've reached a "comfort zone" with this album? Zone of comfort, my arse! How about "fearless and inventive" for two plus decades, like star Wars bounty hunters! The bounty? Try the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the hearts and souls of tens of millions of fans worldwide. Simply amazing! You can't wrap your mind around a song 'till you've heard it 20 times!
@Fred Tedason Then the rest of their albums must be absolute ass, cause this sounds pretty amazing to me, as does the rest of I'm With You. The only two I can put up there with it are Uplift Mofo and BSSM. The rest of them pale in comparison.
For everyone wondering, in this video Josh is using a fender bass vi which is a bass with 6 strings. The strings aren't as thick as normal bass strings though. It is one octave below normal guitar and one octave above bass guitar
@@featheryfemme I saw him in concert twice in one week 2019. His voice was spot on. One of the best I've heard live and I've heard alot. U2, ACDC, lily Allen, killers, midnight oil, tool you name it. Anthony Kiedis right up there. Great tone live and really drives the RHCP melody and energy. His voice fills a stadium beautifully

Josh is actually play a bass! a Fender vi, I beleive someone has already said this, but yeah it's a six string bass, and I think he plays it pretty well

just found out, its a fender bass VI. looks like a guitar, but is infact a bass. i think he used it also in his recordings with john frusciante. sounds similar anyway.
