I'm so glad you guys reacted to Red House Painters! They are tragically underappreciated, and I hope you are able to check out some of Mark Kozelek's (lead singer/guitarist) other projects Sun Kil Moon, Desertshore, and under his own moniker. Fantastic reaction.

It hurts when I hear all the songs to Maria, when we haven’t really done with J or K. I didn't know whether they were going to be over yonder or a bunch of Commies - but like Andy, I immediately thought of early- mid-70s Neil Young, both voice and geetar - specifically Long May You Run or Helpless. There ain't nothing wrong with a well-aimed extended noodle, and this song definitely didn't outstay its welcome. Obviously nothing to do with the Old West outlaw known as The Brown Paper Kid (they finally got him for rustling).

I’ve tried and just can’t get into this band and this song didn’t change that. I will say their cover of The Cars All Mixed Up is one of my favorites covers of all time. I have listened to many of the Bon Scott covers and I agree with Jon some work , some don’t.
