In this video I’m tasting Red Hybrid variety of jaboticaba, white-fleshed and pink-fleshed. Jaboticabas can be easily managed into a small tree or a large bush and are perfectly suitable for growing and fruiting in a container and for that reason can be grown in different grow zones.

About seed consumption:
A Colombian university study states that "Jabuticaba seeds were shown to be an important source of total carbohydrates, which can be exploited as a food product intended for human consumption. The extract of the seeds also showed a significant antioxidant activity. The oil showed significant percentage of unsaturated fatty acids, predominantly of linoleic and α-linolenic fatty acids." But they are also rich in tannins that could be potentially toxic, so chew at your own risk… do your research before consuming in high quantities.
Seed extract is used as medicine but in tiny dosages.
