Everyone seems to be jumping onto the "Red Light Therapy Devices" bandwagon. So, today, we will look at the different types of red light devices available.
In the first video in the 2-part series, I talked about the medical history of red light therapy, its impact on aging, what wavelengths work best, how they work their magic, and the benefits that can come from red light therapy.
Today, we'll cover red light doses and devices. How long & how frequently your red light sessions should be? How far from the LESs?
And then we'll cover most of the different types of red light devices that are available. From panels and flexible wraps to hand-help devices, masks, mats, and helmets.
What types of devices there are.

Thanks, I purchased a body panel about 8 months ago and it certainly has helped with my energy levels and eliminated the need for sleep medications.

I have been doing prism red light 15 min full body for 3 years, 2-3/week for the repair experience and always feel immediate results after a tough work out or honestly a long sleep rat period. It wakes my body up.

You missed a whole class. Handheld pens. Excellent new research about red light treating serious eye disease like macular degeneration. The research specifies near ir, 850, 3x/wk with a handheld place against the eye. These are on ebay as low as $15.

I've used the $33 Amazon wrap and it's amazing, but I'm not sure how long to use it since it doesn't list fluence. It's 660nm and 850nm.

The gym I go to has a stand in chamber. Body Angel. It lasts for 12 minutes. I use it 4-6 times a week. Usually within an hour of getting up. Does it help maybe. My skin looks better. Am 65. Have to do more research on this model. Worth using.

Just rotate your body using a LED door hang panel you don't need two panels. Besides, red light on one part of the body affects the whole body as the photons travel with it in the cells. And, you may not even need LED! Dr. Hamblin, a photobiological guru in the area says a photon, is a photon, is a photon and we can even get it using high quality red incandescent bulbs at 250 Watt. The type used in the food industry and chicken egg hatching etc. Try some Methylene Blue 40 min before red light exposure and notice you're awareness. Reading, energy, etc.

Wait... I thought incandescant red lights did NOT penetrate the mitochondria and therefore NOT the same as the more expensive red and near infrared lights?

I wouldn't overdo it for sure, but seemingly its relatively safe, I personally stare at my light panel roughly at the range of my arm while slowly blinking and closing eyes (to allow them to "cool off") but don't do that for more than 1 or 2 minutes per session. If you dig enough there's someone who mentioned maximum J dose for the eyes. Metal workers are generally exposed to high levels of red-IR light continuously for long periods of time

yes red light of 670 nanometres slows the ageing of people's eyes who are 40 years old and older using an irradiance of 8mW / cm² (low power) used in the morning once a week for 3 minutes , the general advice is not to stare into light which seems too bright for you and also to follow the advice given by your manufacturer where it comes to wearing goggles or not
@jackbuaer3828
@jackbuaer3828 5 месяцев назад
How many independent (not sponsored by manufacturers) studies exist, if any, that red light is efficacious for various purposes on humans. Maybe you should review those studies? To further comment on this, I have no problem spending money on things that work. I spent about 3K on a traditional sauna a couple of years ago because there are several studies suggesting a benefit. When I looked into studies on red light devices a couple of years ago, they were underwhelming. Before I would spend 1K or more on a red light device, I would not only want to know that there is a benefit, I would also want to know the degree of benefit found in studies.
