I was vegan/vegetarian for 12 years - from age 24 to age 36. I had plenty of issues over the years - occasionally mentally foggy, attention issues, feeling tired often, weakness, digestive issues. I started eating grass fed beef and chicken regularly by the time I was 38, along with 15-20 eggs (we have our own chickens!) each week. I have never felt better in my life! Blood panels and cholesterol is all PERFECT. My vegetarian father and sisters all have cholesterol and other issues. The answer is so crystal clear to me.

Which is a position of extreme privilege and naïveté about biological existence - and, therefore, stupid.
People die from any kind of diet that’s why it’s die in diet , after the flood none of our crops and fruits hold the same nutrients as they once did , everything in moderation even the meat is bad if you consume to much , it’s enlarged with steroids to feed a population, injected with all kinds of drugs and chemicals
lol your vegetarian father and sisters are eating lots of dairy and egg since they are vegetarians. I don't have cholesterol issues at all and I am plant based so that makes no sense. Being vegan or vegetarian does not make you healthy because many of those vegans go and eat beyond beef and vegan cheese French fires cookies etc all vegan. That is not real food, talk to people that eat a whole food plant based diet that have cured so many countless diseases.

Your information gets me emotional. I did a one year internship on a regenerative farm and this is spot on. Our farm director was also a doctor for about 15 years and went full time farmer in 92. When we were in classroom settings and he’d share all these incredible facts, I had tears in my eyes thinking about the provision God has for us with animals. It’s all right there and we tend to over complicate things. This is wonderful!
I agree. Meat eating is all through the Bible. You don't need to be an evolutionist to give reason for eating meat. It's obvious as a Bible reading (and believing) Christian that fatty meat is very good for you! Our Creator knows what He's doing.
Read the latest Harvard Study that a study of 22,000 people who had one serve of meat a day showed an increase in the gut biome that is responsible for cancer. You don’t gelive mainstream but you believe this sponsored commercial by the meat industry? 😂

Sharing Dr Berg notes: Other types of protein, like eggs and salmon, are beneficial-but red meat is the best to support healing. Of all the things needed for the repair or healing process, amino acids are among the most important. Red meat is more bioavailable and is a more concentrated source of amino acids than other types of protein. It also contains more iron, magnesium, zinc, B vitamins, vitamin K, and omega-3 fatty acids than eggs. This doesn’t include processed meat from factory farms. It’s crucial to get high-quality grass-fed, grass-finished red meat. Red meat also contains four important additional nutrients for healing, repair, and recovery: 1. Carnitine 2. Creatine 3. Carnosine 4. Coenzyme Q10 People who have difficulty digesting red meat typically have low stomach acid. Even if you don’t like the taste of red meat, it may be because you have low stomach acid. Betaine hydrochloride may be beneficial to help strengthen your stomach acid. You can try taking three to five betaine hydrochloride supplements before a meal for about one month. However, if you tend to have excess iron, red meat may not be for you. Instead, you could try consuming more poultry or eggs. Thank you Dr Berg🐱👍🏿
That was really nice of you to do this! I see a lot of people writing notes for different minutes which we don’t need! But you breaking it down like this was very informative !! 💚

Nah. 6 years now, no meat for me and I feel great. Idk who told him this garbage but the optimal amount of dead flesh in the human diet is actually zero. You don't see vegans filling hospitals and chemo rooms. Nope, all meat-eaters
My grandpa, in Turkey, who is a sprightly 90 years old, has enjoyed lamb meat throughout his life. Remarkably, he's always been a beacon of happiness, never once speaking of depression or the modern-day stresses we face. Beyond his dietary habits, he doesn't even partake in exercise, yet he remains perpetually cheerful and joyful. He truly stands as an inspiring role model for me. ❤
I am from India, I love Turkish meat food kebab. They are so filling to body and mind. In Germany, Kebap it is the cheapest and best restaurant food. In India many vegetarians have health problems as they get old.
This is nice to hear. I swear by a diet daily of organic medium rare beef and raw salmon with minimal carbs mostly just a little rice and of course fruits and vegetables and minimal dairy, nuts. I feel amazing. If you listen to the bad PR you would never know. I swear they want to keep us sick.

I love red meat. If you have difficulty digesting it, take some apple cider vinegar diluted in warm water 15 to 30 minutes before eating. It will helps with digestion and transit. It works for red meat and any other foods you can’t digest easily. If you forgot to take it before your meal, take it 10 to 45 minutes after.

I cooked a ribeye in butter yesterday that tasted so good, I literally stood up and started jumping with joy. I could feel my brain light up like I was on ecstasy those first few bites. The quality of butter used in the cast iron makes a difference. I don't think I've ever tasted something that good!
I think it was Berg you recommended against cooking on iron. Builds up in the blood and shows in blood tests in very elevated levels and causes aging. fyi

Once picked up a book at my dad's library titled "guide to alternative medicine". The book was written in the 60's and I remember the author mentioning red meat at the ultimate goto protein source. I have never deviated from that advice , in the last five years . Luckily for us over here, we still have access to good, old meat from cows farmed the old way , walking under the sun all day and eating pasture.
100%!! Two years ago, my hand and arm was mauled breaking up a dog fight between two large male dogs (please do not tell how stupid I was. I know. One of the dogs was my dearly loved boy, and I acted on instinct.) I probably should have had well over 50 stitches and possibly lost a thumb. I live deep in the jungle two hours away from medical care on a tiny trail in a cabin on a mountain with access only by boat. Medical care really wasn't an option. There's no way I could have gotten down the mountain without passing out as much as I was bleeding, much less find a boat captain to take me to the city and a hospital. I switched to eating nothing but beef and had a strong belief my body would know what to do. I lost an insane amount of blood. I was weak and the wounds were slow to heal, as is normal in the tropics. I kept all the open bits meticulously clean, tied my thumb up with gauze, and ate beef. Only beef. My hand and arm healed. I have some light scars, but full use of the hand, and I regained my strength after so much blood loss faster than anyone could believe. Beef is a wonder food. It saved me from almost inescapable infection and deformation.
YOU are not stupid (about the dog thing). WE are stupid because I did the same thing so many times 😂 I was almost losing some fingers as well. Thanks to all fighting dogs, I didn’t get big bites as you did. 😣

Love my carnivore way of eating as my ancestors did, they were healthy and lived much longer. My 65 year old body craves grass fed and finished beef, we have our own chickens so lots of fresh eggs. Excellent video Dr Berg!! 30 doctors couldn't help me with my severe autoimmune symptoms, multi-system multi-symptom illness. So after 2y on a plant-based diet that only got me worse I decided to try this crazy diet of eating only meat and what can I say, I'm 24 months eating basically red meat, salt and water and my life was saved. I hope others will read my testimony. I healed congestive heart failure with your vit. B1 recommendation and the carnivore diet. Eggs, steak and hamburger, water and extra salt for electrolytes. Lost 48 lbs in 6 weeks and immediately had relief from severe lung and leg/feet edema and my blood pressure returned to low normal. Yes red meat fixes many things. Yes it is contrary to what we have been taught for years, but the results are indisputable. I love you brother. I have recommended your videos to dozens of my friends. Thank you! I am having a lupus flare that affects my joints and gives me bad fatigue and brain fog. Thank you Dr Berg, I am having my beef burgers right now with some red peppers for vitamin C. You inspire me to take control of my health. Thank you!!!
Avoid high oxalates like pepper. Maybe switch to white pepper. Also, avoid vitamin C as it can get converted to oxalates. I am carnivore for a month now. This vitamin C is way overrated.
For most people, even if it is grain-fed, the benefits of eating more meat (cow and lamb) are going to be tremendous. Don't worry about the grain-fed vs grass-fed if the price difference or availability worries you. Just eat the cows and feel good.
Yeah, but if you can afford then go for the higher quality meat. Not only are you getting more nutrition but you are also supporting small farmers. When eating meat, it’s also good to consume the organs. One way to afford grass fed cows is to split the costs with a friend or family.
Thank you for pointing this out. I actually prefer the taste of grass-fed but grain-finished meat. It may not be as nutritious, but it’s a little more affordable and taste’s delicious. I try to buy from a local rancher too.

After 2 1/2 years of clean keto and limited meat....although I did really well on keto, I finally tried carnivore for the first time several months ago and have to say that I feel I do even better on carnivore, I get at least 3 pasture raised eggs and bacon every morning, usually a steak or ground beef or venison patty for lunch and a steak for dinner...I'm 52 years old and I haven't had this much energy since my 20's. I do exercise twice per week but it wasn't until carnivore that I actually was able to add muscle upping my intake of animal protein & fat!!!

I was bitten by a tick that infected me and caused the allergy but years later I have no problem eating it. I do have high cholesterol hereditary in my case. Doctors keep wanting me on Statins but I won’t do them.
There are several videos by doctor’s on RU-vid showing how high cholesterol is not necessarily a bad thing. There is a paradigm shift going on within nutritional science that sees cholesterol as not the bad thing it once did. Your Triglicerides should be low in comparison.
If I ever get high cholesterol, would niacin flush and regular exercise suffice to combat it instead of statins? My daily diet consists of raw milk with honey, 10-15 eggs, 0.5 lbs of ground beef, egg, and a dish made from black rice, sorghum and Fenugreek
@@abukitty That’s a great diet! I’m not sure about the raw milk. Idk if dairy is good for us. But if your eating organic grass fed your living right! High cholesterol is not nesecrilly a bad thing. You just don’t want high triglycerides as the person said above. And yes water fasting will keep you in balance. Everyone should be water fasting a whole day each week!
So interesting to us as a family because before finding this video we just started eating hamburger again last week. We were discussing among us how much we really like hamburger patties, big and gourmet without buns and how good and satisfying it is. Also, my wife is on OMAD and I do intermittent fasting, hamburger / red meats, are so helpful for our lifestyle eating habits. But we did not know all the amazing health benefits. Thanks so much Dr. Berg, I've been following you for many years and always appreciate your knowledge and work you put into your videos. Now viewing from our retirement in the Philippines.
