We'll take you from first impressions to shooting, the RED post production workflow with Adobe Premiere, REDCINE-X and Final Cut Pro X, the value in the marketplace and our recommendation.
RED announced the release of the RAVEN in September of 2015. The RAVEN is the first RED ever to be offered for under $10k; you can get the brain alone for just under $7k. However, the brain just is a sensor and processor, so you’ll need a few other accessories for a complete camera system. The RAVEN is equipped with a 4.5K RED DRAGON sensor and is capable of shooting up to 120 fps in 4.5K or 240 fps in 2K using RED’s REDCODE RAW (.R3D) codec. The camera also boasts 16.5 stops of dynamic range.
