Life without you live at capital theater by Stevie will blow your hair back, the guitar playing is next level and there is a message in the song that applies even today to the social climate of the world right now, I was fortunate to have seen Stevie in concert in Seattle 1985 super humble dude and he loved his fans.
Thank you. I saw SRV at a Seattle Festival in late 1980s when he opened for Ray Charles. We didn't know Stevie but fell in love with him. Blown away. RIP SWEET SRV ❤
Best thing ever written by a genius. Best cover ever played by another genius. Stevie is a beast when he does this number, here he goes full-on Alien. Amazing showmanship, yes but he don't know that when he's off somewhere in Stevie Ray Vaughan land. He's one with the guitar, he IS the guitar. A fine reaction although Stevie isn't known for showing off. I know you were kidding, because that's what it looks like when he's being the GOAT. "Tin Pan Alley"w/Johnny Copeland. "Life without You", Capital Theater. "Dirty Pool", Montreux. RIP. King SRV. 🎸👽...❤️💔💙...☮️to all.
Been addicted to Stevie for about 5 years. Like you I didn't appreciate him while he was alive. I was into different music. But know I can't get enough and I'm blown away by his talent. SRV = THE G.O.A.T.
live performances are best...great reaction..were lucky to have it on tape...go down the rabbit hole..he doesnt do a bad performance ,they only get better..
👏🙌🪅🎊🎉‼️yeah for more Stevie Ray! His covers of Voodoo Chile are legendary. He never plays any song the same way so you can't say you've seen him do Voodoo Chile unless you've seen way more from different venues. His 1989 Austin City Limits version is hugely popular and I highly recommend it, but my favorite version is from his 1985 Toyko appearance. It is a longer version, riffing and weaving in between the main melody in such a creative and fun way. It is a must see for you and perhaps even revisiting as reactions to highlight the differences. You should know 99.9% of his videos are not blocked and do not require anything but an occasional pause to post. El Macambo is the exception and those are the two you have chosen! Another great iconic performance of his that features another Texas blues man, Johnny Copeland performing Tin Pan Alley from the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They put on a master class in down and dirty blues and he shows different skill sets on the 🎸💙🎶💯. There is lots of surprises and great musicianship awaiting you🎶🎸💯💙
Yay! Stevie was our hometown boy! Hes a major reason thst the Blues didnt die out the the 80s. See if you can find the In Sessions video with Stevie and his idol, Albert King (the velvet bulldozer). Albert playing an upside down guitar and telling Stevie to stay away from drugs, Stevie was a WAY more colorful dresser back then, and a studio drummer thats tighter than a clams @$$hole, as we say...
Clean Stevie was never as good as his early stuff. He got soft after he got sober and never played with the same raw intensity and aggression like he did here.
