Red Rock Casino: High Limit Video Poker $5-$10 Per Bet Makes Me Feel Like I'm Barry White! 

"I'll drink to that!" All I got was lemonade from the waitress. I generally don't drink alcohol too much, and almost never when I play video poker. Still, I am able to throw down a few drinks when the occasion calls for it. And I do enjoy a great cocktail at Vegas restaurants. I've been rather sloppy with my play overall this 1st eight months of my being on RU-vid. I'm planning on returning to higher denomination play in the near future, so I have to get back to fundamentals and whip myself back into shape for the type of play that I have in mind.

Yes, play at your comfort level or you’ll blow through your bankroll in a few minutes. Once you can play at a higher denomination it’s hard to go back. Good luck, now go hit a royal!

If the “bottom of the pay table” is “rolling along nicely”, (i.e. plenty of JoB, 2 pair, trips, straights, flushes, and full houses) then you’ll do fine! Then it’s a matter of a few decent Quad hits, or a Straight Flush, and even better, a Royal Flush just shows-up while you’re on $5 coin. Another way to try out what you’re doing is to only move up a denomination when anything 2 pair or better hits while you’re on $1 coin. It’s better to have a smaller “gap pairing” such as: 50¢/$1, $1/$2, $5/$10, $10/$20 etc.). The jump from $1 coin to $5 coin is rather large and if the bottom of the pay tables falters, it could wipe out the bankroll rather quickly. But the $300 free play + the 300 yours is a great idea! Yes, I'm just not as alert as I used to be. I'm going to make a concerted effort to whip my game skills back into shape. There's some high denomination coin play that I want to tackle in the near future. I need to get myself back into "playing shape" again. But I don't fret over errors. But I am going to focus on restoring my latent skills in video poker again.

It’s where the old night club used to be towards the back of the casino on the left where they had live bands, seating for small indoor concerts, a large bar in there etc. They ripped all that out and expanded the casino. They keep changing that area around a lot though, and now it’s mostly Slots and they moved all the video poker close to a new bar that’s in there.

That sounds like an awesome session. Every time that I've had the good fortune of hitting 2 or more Straight Flushes on a single session, that session also ended with a Royal Flush too. That's happened about 5X to me. And we all know that it's random variance, but I'm always optimistic on sessions when they start out with 2 or more Straight Flushes, I've been "conditioned" to expect a "Royal" shortly there after!😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Reviewing my records over the past few years, I hit a total 29 SF's (none were wild) to one Royal. After I max. out the promotion/converted free play I stopped playing. Promotions are key in maintaining my discipline. Since I am running at a royal deficit, I wonder if this means I will have a session with multiple royals. LOL

I've been a very strict "by the book" player over many years, but somehow (ever since I've started this channel), I've gotten very sloppy with my play. I’ve worn many hats in my life. I enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War and served on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier, afterwards, I got the G.I. Bill & became an Infantry Officer in the Army upon graduating from the university. I was a foreign exchange student and speak Spanish fluently. And at one time I was quite conversationally good in French, although that has atrophied over the last 3 decades. Ironically, I was a musician in a rock band that I co-founded over 35 years ago, with remnants of that still intact to this day. But mainly, I worked most of my life in the automotive industry for Toyota and Honda. I also dabbled in insurance and investments. However, if I can achieve what I am setting out to do in video poker and RU-vid, those will be the achievements for which I would be most proud. If I had to do it all over again, I would have followed my dream of becoming a film director in Hollywood but never pursued. Obviously though, it comes through a little bit in my RU-vid videos, so for that, I am happy with what I am doing.😉🌎

I'm too puny of a channel for that to happen. But the ugly truth is that I'm on the +side of winning with nearly $500,000 in 38 Royal Flush wins. I know that's aberrational, and I may lose on any given session from time to time, but my aggregate wins on high denomination coin has put me so far ahead that those wins off-set and far exceed any trivial losses that I may accrue on small denomination coin play. I can honestly say that I have never lost a dime playing video poker. It's been over a decade long winning streak. Who's to say that short term wins can't be 10-30 years long when compared to the eons of time? In my opinion, that's 8/5 Bonus Poker!

I see your point, in that, I too, really dislike overly loud, Slot machines & Keno machines, blasting out everybody's ear drums all over the casino. But what I was referring to (in this particular instance) was that I could not hear the machine at all, so I wanted to raise the volume (a touch) so that the viewers of my channel could at least hear the card dealing & card selection sounds. It was nothing more than that.
