And then sometimes, during a great streak in a month I would be there at 5:00am just for the focus and concentration that playing that early affords the player! I’m still up in the air on whether or not changing denominations during a good run affects anything, since I’ve had quite a bit luck in that area for big wins. It does seem lately though (as I jump to the higher denominations) that the “good run” immediately ceases to exist and the machine goes into a 10-20 hand nose dive downwards. It really shouldn’t have anything to do with it since the RNG is constantly shuffling the cards randomly. I still believe that upping your bets while on a good run is a good thing to do. Perhaps in the future, I’ll prolong the good run by staying on the coin denomination until it starts to fizzle-out and then up the denomination. We’ll see.

@@johnsworldofvideopoker I understand, I don't live by that rule either, I usually play Double Double on Ultimate Bonus, then switch it to Joker (Royal is 4700) Sometimes bonus duces. All depends how the machine is trending on its cycle.

You’re right in “pressing it when I’m up” (as opposed to “pressing it when I’m down” but the RNG of video poker isn’t aware of any of that, it just constantly shuffles and randomly deals out the cards, regardless of whether or not the bankroll is high or low. If I’m settled in with a big bankroll and wanting it to last as long as possible in hopes of hitting a Royal, I tend to be much less careless than I am in these shorter mini-sessions. I keep meticulous records of all my Royal Flush wins regarding the: $ amount won, the casino, the date, and on how long it took to hit the Royal. I have identified at least 10 different sessions ending in Royal Flushes (for a total of $220,000 in wins) against a total of only $6,000 in combined bankrolls. In each instance, I was “pressing it” on “insufficient” bankrolls. I’ve hit 37 Royal Flushes so far and I’m well on my way in my journey to achieve my personal goal of $1,000,000 in Royal Flush wins. “Pressing it” is all part of the game and has served me well.🌎

Yes, sometimes the RNG “seemingly” teases us with repeatedly throwing out a lot of the same cards, but it’s all random. Once in a blue moon it does that and you repeatedly hit all the beautiful Bonus Quads (2’s, 3’s, 4’s) and Quad Aces multiple times over and over in one of those quite rare and randomly occurring sessions. Enjoy them when you’re in it, because they don’t happen very often, but when they do, it’s pure video poker euphoria! This machine was just messing with me!😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Yes, you’re so right on that Wendi, I made a mistake on that play. I’ve lessened my practice on the simulator and it’s obvious that I must get back to regimen to stay sharp in the casino! Nonetheless, I actually “made money” on that mistake by hitting 2 pair!🤣 Over the long term, those errors add to the house edge against the players and that can be costly. In both 8/5 BP & 9/6 DDB holding the 2 Queens is the correct play. In TDB you would hold the suited 10♠️J♠️Q♠️. Holding 3 to the Royal (instead of the 2 Queens) is a forfeiture of an 8% advantage over to the casino.🌎

The $10,000 hit saved me from being under water by $5,000. With that hit, I was up $6,350. But I was I was totally willing to throw it all back in, in exchange for, a possible $40,000-$80,000 Royal. That’s how I hit the big ones. I forfeit smaller Royal wins and use that house money for the Monster Royals!😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

I took $5,000 to play with and if weren’t for that $10,000 hit at Caesars Palace, I would have lost it all. That $10,000 hit allowed me to leave Vegas, just as I came in….$5,000. Had I walked at the $10,000 hit, I would have been up $6,350 (which is sweet weekend in Vegas) but I was pushing for a $40,000-$80,000 win on $10-$20 coin play so I was ok with throwing their house money back at them in exchange for a real shot at those Royals. So, going home “even” was ok with me. One of these days, those house money shots at the Royal will land me what I’m looking for!🥲🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Once your high limit habits change to the lower levels so does your treatment ! You're a little while and you come back and you play a 25 cent game and staff that you knew would just walk right by you not even recognizing you that's why I stopped at red rock !

Yes the casino dynamic “changes up” quite significantly with the ebb and flow of the coin denomination level and also whether you’re beating the house in a big way or losing your shirt to them. It’s amazing how quickly, cold and indifferent the casino staff can become as the circumstances change in real time.
