This will take a lot of work. This might not even be the same format.
But after the latest DCS World Open Beta update dropped I can now simulate some things full scaleish (when its not crashing).
Hard to pass up something that might be fun to work on.
Might gets some friends involved with this one we shall see.

In 1986 I was a Pipefitter at the local nuclear shipyard building Ohio Class and other boats. Prior to going into work I would read a chapter of Red Storm Rising. I had another book with me, Modern Weapons, a pictoral reference of all/most of the land, sea, and air weapons of the world. Whenever a weapon type was mentioned in the novel I would reference it in the other book so I would understand not only the capabilities but also know what it looked like. This mde the reading so much more enjoyable. FIXEDIT is providing another companion to the original story with the visual and appropriate storyline. Bravo!

I really hope HBO is paying attention to this to make that book into their next blockbuster miniseries. They ought to consult with you for the battle sequences!

The look & feel is spot-on. If I might make one suggestion: A bit less of the 'speaking through a Tannoy' effect on the voice. It works for a short vid, but might get annoying if the video is longer. Also: If you can deduce the Orbat from the book, you're a more patient man than I am! I know it's in there, of course; but.... DAYUMN!

Not to say this is on the back burner but I have come across a couple speed bumps and hurtles I’ll have to figure out how to tackle. Like I said before im no writer but I have a good idea of how I want to do this little summary of the first part of the book. The main one is an issue visually with the flight sim and if that gets addressed I’ll pick this back up and continue working on it.
