Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! Today I made a quick and easy last minute dessert that your loved ones will go crazy for. I saw these floating on Pinterest and I had to try them! The best part about these red velvet cheesecake brownies is that they're super easy to make since they don't require a stand mixer. You can pretty much do this all by hand. Let me know what you guys think about these red velvet cheesecake brownies and if you want to see more fun desserts on my channel!
Ingredients: Brownies
1 stick of butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 ½ tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup cocoa powder
⅛ tsp salt
2 tbs red food coloring
½ tsp white vinegar
¾ cup flour
Ingredients: Cream cheese
8oz cream cheese
1 tsp Vanilla extract
¼ cup Sugar
1 egg

wow your kitchen is beautiful!!! i really liked the previous one but I am a fan of the modern neutral colors. As for the brownies these look bomb.

Why is sugar considered a wet ingredient? Is it because it dissolves in the other liquids? Also, is there a reason to allow the brownie to cool completely in the pan before taking it out?

Hey love! Sugar is technically a dry ingredient, but you never mix it in with just your dry ingredients because it will never have a chance to melt and dissolve. If you keep sugar with the dry ingredients, it will caramalize at different rate when cooking and give off an uneven texture to cakes and sweets. As a rule of thumb, anytime you use the wet-dry method to baking you mix your sugar with eggs and melted butter. Whenever we add the dry ingredients, we always fold them in so we don't over mix the batter. Adding the sugar with the flour doesn't give the flour a chance to properly dissolve and who has time for a sweet dessert that isn't sweet? Lol I hope this helps!

Hey just seeing the second half of your question... I allow the brownies to cool completely because brownies (unlike cupcake and cakes) taste better when you allow them to set and finish cooking out of the oven. It also makes it much much easier to cut the brownies without them falling apart. If you want super warm brownies, feel free to take them out before it's all cool but know that they may fall apart-- which isn't the worst thing lol

+Bigdog Bulldog thank you. I add the vinegar for two reasons. First, traditional red velvet desserts have vinegar in them. So I add a tiny bit to keep in line with tradition. Secondly, the vinegar also helps enhance the red color ☺ I hope this helps!
