I made this recipe exactly as instructed in the video and the ingredient list in the description box. I also made the cream cheese icing from your Red Velvet Cake video only thing I did was add an additional 4oz of cream cheese to the icing mixture. Let me tell you from someone who doesn’t bake regularly this cake was SO DANG GOOD!!! I’m talking way better than the Cheesecake Factory. The red velvet cake was SO moist and the cheesecake was SO rich and good. My family LOVED it and wants me to make another one for Christmas 😂 Thank you so, so MUCH for sharing your talent with the world! ❤️

Hunnie!!! This is by far the best Red Velvet Cake recipe I ever had! I made it yesterday ( minus the cheesecake) and it was perfect. I added a 1/2 tsp. of expresso powder to enhance the hint of chocolate. I used Lorans Oil Bakery Emulsion (Red Velvet). You on point about that sweating method, my Granny sweared by it. This recipe was absolutely perfect. I sent you a pic on IG! Thank you!

I was able to get 2 cheesecakes out of this recipe as written using 2 8 inch pans. Also, I used the same cake pans for both the cheesecake and the cake layers, and lined the bottom with parchment paper. You don't HAVE to use a spring form pan, though it would make thing a little easier. Because I only had AP flour vs cake flour I did end up needing to add about 1/4 cup more milk to the cake batter than the recipe calls for to get the same consistency as hers, and my cake was still very moist. Thought I'd share in case anyone else might find hear tips useful.

Hey Sis this looks delicious. To ice the cake do the first layer as a crumb coat then refrigerate for about thirty minutes. That will seal the cake first so that when you put another layer of icing on it will look beautiful!

Made just the cheesecake part and it came out amazing! Made a gram cracker crust and a strawberry purée to spread on the top. Next time I’ll double it though because I forgot the recipe was just enough for a single layer.
