Wendy and her sister actually moved to Canada when she was in 5th grade coz she saw how happy her sister was after studying abroad when she was in 4th grade 😂 A 12 year old Wendy thought it was fun but as soon as she landed she cried, wanting to go back to her parents in Korea. Anyway Wendy became an honor student with Obama Presidential Award & Minnesota Mathematics League 5th placer. This girlie can play golf, soccer, hockey and volleyball. She was Vocal Fusion and performing some musical theatre. She can play piano, flute, guitar, and saxophone. i honestly don't know what this girl can't do (probably aegyo? 😂) IN SHORT. WENDY IS SO WELL ROUNDED IDOL AND SHE DESERVES ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD. 💙🥺 incase If you didn't know Wendy was rehearsing the collab she's gonna do with Solar, Speechless and Into the Unknown when the accident happened last year. It was Solar who saw Wendy was already in the floor and alert the staff that Wendy fell of the stairs. Reveluvs are so thankful to Solar, if she didn't see her quick we wouldn't know what more damage would happen to Wendy.

I think Irene was laughing because she is kinda shy and they are not used to perform this close to the public... (that's mt guess) In the Psycho performance Yeri's the one who laughed

Yas she did musical school when she studied in junior high school in canada, but she was part of vocal choir in her school for long time and being soprano. She is really great singer. Her agility is so amazing. Check out her predebut video sing "hello by beyonce".

For live performance, I highly recommend reacting to "Psycho" and "Goodbye" (from Immortal Song 2; sung by Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy).

I also believe that Christmas music belongs the week of Christmas and no longer. Too many years of retail. Also, Red Velvet Milky Way cover.

With Wish Tree Live, they sang Psycho there too. They were sitting down but they nailed that live. Psycho is my fave RV song because they really showed their vocals there and many people got to know them more. I mean, Red Flavor was the start but according to a lot of music critiques, Psycho and Obsession (EXO) was the best songs in 2019.

You can watch Red Velvet - Milky Way as far as I know they performed it live and they have almost equal lines in that performance. It was also the first appearance of wendy and first OT5 performance in 2020.

I already saw comments about it but yes Red Velvet did in fact do a psycho performance in the exact same event as that Wish Tree Live performance that all the girls were doing, only thing to keep in mind was that Seulgi was sick at the time of this whole event so maybe it isn't representative of "peak" Red Velvet but it was still a fun performance nonetheless. (Just search ReVe Festival Live Psycho)

I'm loving how Seulgi is like accompanying the members in harmonies a lot, she's like holding this thing together here while Wendy can showcase her beautiful voice and Irene/Joy/Yeri can blend in perfectly 😍

I laugh to myself thinking how the sound engineers adjust the mike attenuation for balance: "let's see +3 for Irene, +1 for Yeri, -1 for Joy, -3 for Seulgi and -8 for Wendy". Wendy and Seulgi's voices are very distinct. "Wish Tree" does not have a Red Velvet MV but SM had an official competition for fan made MVs of this song and the winner is on RU-vid - very poignant. Live performances are harder to come by - but they have in the same session, "Psycho" and "Remember Forever". And a slightly earlier one with "Ladies Night" (my fave). They're a bit zany in this particular session (mistakes and laughing) which kinda proves it IS live with a fairly intimate audience setting. Irene appears to be the least confident "live" but Yeri has grown a lot. As you mentioned though it is typically Seulgi, Joy and Wendy carrying most of the vocals for Red Velvet. Yeri has just released a series of solo acoustic covers in her youtube channel (DUM DUM Studio) FYI

Wendy moved to Canada when she was a kid and stayed there through high school, so English isn’t her first language but she picked it up so well that now it’s fairly prominent in her accent and mannerisms XD

ahhh you should listen to when the vocal line sings “goodbye” !! it’s sooo good and probably one of their best videos where they show case their voices !

I'm also not a fan of Christmas music, but her voice is just wonderful.

Wendy actually wasn’t born and raised in Canada, but she studied there and in the US for many years. She had excellent grades, studied English, Spanish and French. She has gotten academic awards like the presidents education award or fifth place in Minnesota’s state high school math competition. She’s very smart.

They have more live performances on a radio show. You can type Red Velvet Dumb Dumb Radio and it'll probably take you there. Hehehe... BTW, you are the only reactor my daughter watches.

That live perf was actually not the real deal tho, it's in their exclusive mini meeting event with their fans (Reveluvs) who were chosen randomly from the big pool since it's limit the seats. And they performed live 3 songs which were Psycho, Remember Forever, and Wish Tree, you should react to all because you could hear their voice so clear from this event (clearer than music show)

The line distribution on most RV's songs are like that, mostly went to JoWenSeul because they're the vocal line/top 3 vocalist of RV follow by Irene & Yeri is last. But Wendy is on another level since she's the main vocalist. Irene & Yeri are also good that they could become lead vocal in other groups, while Seulgi & Joy could become main vocal in other groups bcs all of them are great singers. But nowadays their line distribution is getting better, even on their Milky Way cover each member got the same amount singing part to showcase their talent & vocal character.

9:27 As fas as I could guess from the Fan accs of that Wishtree live perf. The fans were sitting very nearer to the artists since it was a casual setting :) .. It was actually the 1st time for them to face the audience especially since the fans were smiling all along, the girls couldn't stop smiling too. You'll see Yeri laughing away in Psycho Live performance of this setting because she was shy :)

They have only performed Psycho live twice. One was in the same setting where they sang Wish tree and another at an award show. This was due to Wendy having her serious accident on Christmas day 2019. She has been away from the group almost a full year recovering. But for live I would check out anything from Sketchbook. And Wendy and Seulgi do get a majority of the lines in their music so Irene and Yeri haven't always gotten as much singing time as them. Do check out their Live Acoustic version of "Would U".

You would also want to check out Wendy, Seulgi and Joy's 'Goodbye' and their respective King of Masked Singer stages. Oh, and 'Sayonara' live performance! (a Seulgi fancam and the front part was a little bit cut off) Also, Kangta, Wendy and Seulgi's performance of 'Doll' at Fantastic Duo :)

so irene was laughing coz they never performed that close with fans before, like they literally just 1 or 2 meters away and she just found it funny and the fans were basically smiling ears to ears the whole time. if you havent seen the psycho live performance one (at the same event) yeri and irene were laughing in between the song (the other 3 members were laughing too but they're more controlled and more immersed to the song) coz the fans were adorable while doing the fanchants etc
