Why the toughest gym leader one may ask? Cause unlike others blue's team doesnt revolve around a particular typing where one weakness cannot be exploited against other 5 pokemon on his roster.
Which would be worse to fight? A legendary trainer with legendary pokemon or some 2-bit hack gym leader that paid attention in school and didn't build a team on 1 type?
Fire Duster Actually, he holds the pokeball in his left hand in every single appearance he's made up to date. Including official artworks. A whole lot of fanart also depicts him as a lefty, too. There's only one official artwork where he isn't, but I forgot where. Also, it'd be logical to hold a throwing item in your dominant hand, as it would increase throwing range and accuracy. Therefore, he is, at the very least, very likely to be left handed.
I know...? Even if I didn't by simply scrolling down this video anyone would know lol. But how people yell around saying it's Green, it really doesn't fit in his charc, or as a rival, green sounds more like a support character color, or a secondary, not a rival. And yes I know I'm talking about a character and not a color. Still.
AAAAKKKKKKTTTTTTUUUUUUACCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY Green was the third trainer from Pallet town. She was the one that got Venusaur. However, due to the fact that Pokemon takes place in an omniverse where every possible outcome happens. So yea, just like there's a universe where he is Gary instead of Blue there is also a universe where he is Torquoise or Cyan. Yea I just wanted to go out of my way to be "that guy".
Is it really that hard? Blue=American version Green=Japanese version At the end of the day they are the same person just different names from other countries :)
Only that Green is, officialy, the name of the girl protagonist, starting Fire Red/Leaf Green. And Blue is officialy his name so... thats that i guess :P
i imagine the world being in a state of unsettlement when this battle was taking place. Then later when they both finally reveal their final pokemon at the same time, blastoise and charizard, the entire world is plunged into chaos. Tornadoes, tsunamis, volcanoes erupting, pokemon everywhere are at disarray. Humans far away from the indigo plateau are having chills, and the closer they were to the battle the more it gets worse. Some people fainted, some people were thrown into insanity, the guards seeing over the indigo plateau were in a state of paralysis. They couldn't move, see or breathe yet they could feel immeasurable pain as every fiber of their being is physically being ripped apart atom by atom. The only ones who could withstand the pressure from the battle were the elite four and even they were on their knees. After what seemed like an eternity, the chaos stopped and the entire world suddenly fell silent. The battle was over Red has won. Soon after, in a far off distance a loud cry was heard. So loud that it pierced the very fabric of reality, mewtwo has awakened.
What if Red lost? - Red looks up at his opponent, the realization sunk into his flesh, or more rather his brain. "Heh, you can't beat me, don't even try. I've grown since then Red, and you might have beat me in the beginning, but you still didn't manage to beat me in the end. Predictable." Blue ran his fingers through this hair, grinning at Red's reaction to his fainted Pikachu. "You should have evolved it, you were always so ignorant. I'm the strongest trainer in the world, try again later when your weak Pokemon grow to a higher level." He ran towards the exits, beginning to get faster every step taken. He knew what he had to do to get stronger, what he had to achieve to be the very best. Instead of going back towards Pallet, he advanced to the left of the Pokemon League, treading along the path towards a whole new adventure ahead of him. "Yeah, you better watch out Blue, i'm going to come back someday, just watch. My pokemon will be way stronger than yours." Red advanced upwards, getting farther from the Pokemon League than ever. He looked up, noticing a hill that lead up to a peak, covered in thick white snow. A snow storm started, making Red colder and colder. He took his backpack down and lay it on the ground, opening it up, he got a hold of a jacket, quite similar to the one he was wearing, though it seemed to be a lot fluffier on the inside, and was more like a sweater. He put it on, grabbed the backpack, and kept going. Red took a poke-ball from his bag, and threw it. Pikachu emerged from the ball. "You guys better get adjusted to this, cause were going to be here a long time."
Is it just me? But this doesnt sound like a "battle theme" its sound more of a survival. I mean just look at Blastoise and Charizard. They dont look like they've been in a pokemon battle, they look like they have risen from hell itself... You hear this song? Then cheerio old chap
These "Blue vs Green" debates are just plain stupid. You're fighting over something as pointless as a name of a fictional character. Not only that, but it's the name of a fictional character whom you can name anything, from Blue/Green to Douche to Sony or Shigeru. It doesn't matter.
The Manga btw has a girl which is called green. The game calls him BLU as an option. So...Yeah. For me it's blue but it is stupid how people debate over it, true.
SirMalorak Blue is the girl in the japanese version of the manga. they also make a play on japanese words, Since they name "Gary" Midoru, and i believe his Granpa (Prof oak) is Shinjri. the play being that there named "Old/Great Oak" and "Green Oak" Why green? cause he is a "Young" Oak. and young does not work well with BLUE Oak now, does it?
This is such a powerful theme; the perfect theme for perfect rivals that train and battle furiously to determine who is stronger. This could remind people of their respective rivals and maybe get them to battle to see who will win in the end of a long and intense battle.
Damn fam I use to bump this in middle school now I'm in college time flies take me back to my younger days so I can relive my childhood memories once more
While I agree that Blue was the best rival and enemy, I think that Hugh was also a great rival, simply because he wasn't your enemy; he was your friend. It's so consistent to hate your rivals in the Pokémon series because they are generally complete assholes. But you see Hugh walk up, you get a welt in your stomach, expecting a douchebag... and then he turns out to be a pretty awesome guy. And he has a rough past for motivation, yet he doesn't go emo over it. He was a refreshing change of pace.
You know, these days the champion music just doesn't feel as thrilling. I could go play Blue, Red, FireRed or Leafgreen and still get pumped up by the Champion music but the latest ones like USUM or SwSh feel kinda dull to me. Thank the Lord for remixes! And yes I know I'm saying this on a remix on the Vs Blue Champion battle, just making a statement.
I laugh every time i come back to this video cause there is always some kinda Argument going on lmao gotta love RU-vid :P Humans just hate each other smh
since we're all talking about what we named our rivals... when I was 4 when I played Red for the first time, I named myself Evan2000 (my name is Evan), and my rival Poop2000
Everyone, calm down about 'Blue'! In Japan they released Red and Blue. In America, they released Red and Green. They felt that a turtle would be better than a weird walking plant to catch the childrens attention.
able to catch all 151 pokemon able to beat every trainer on the roads in kanto able to catch the strongest pokemon ever genetically modified... able to have all 8 badges... able to capture missingno and cause glitches in the world... able to travel to another region by foot... and then fade into legend,... Red is THE mystical trainer.
Listened to this while I wrote my senior thesis! Got an awesome grade in that 20 page thesis presentation! Thanks for the awesome music or at least showcasing it in this instance!
I am Nick Young Pokemon Trainer and i challenge you, Champion of the Pokemon league to a battle, and hit me with your best shot, otherwise you'll regret it!
Was really looking forward to some fragments and pieces falling toward the sky. It would have made me pray that I had spiraled into some Blood Gulch blues, but I guess we'll have to deal with having no one calling us maniacs.
I know everyone calls him Blue, but his name is actually Green. When the games originally came out, there were three games released in Japan (Red, Blue, and Green). However, Pokemon Green was never released in America for whatever reason, so they renamed him to Blue in America, but in reality his name is Green. Awesome remix by the way!!!!
IDIOT that's the MANGA in JAPANESE I'm starting to think everyone's JAPANESE because they keep saying BLUE is a girl but GUESS WHAT?! THEYRE THE SAME GODDAMN PERSON BLUE GREEN GARY WHATEVER AND THIS GIRL IS LEAF JAPANESE AND English.
Josh Myers Exactly, they're the same goddamn person. That's why instead of arguing about what exactly they are called in different languages and across different media/product of Pokemon, I decided to just simply stick with pokemon special manga since I liked it more than the other media of pokemon. Other people stick to their own believes.
That's only because of the american versions, if it were to go a long with the japanese versions, it'd be green. as someone just explained, green oak, to mean "young oak".
Red is the best trainer in the world. I mean, who the fuck defeats a Mewto with a fucking Charizard? Red. Wo defeates a Moltress/Zapdos/Articuno with a Blastiose/Venusaur/Charizard? Red. Who defeats a trainer with a fucking lv 90 Blastoise (Water) with a lv 85 Charizard (Fire)? The mother-fucking-champion Red.
to be fair (and also to the people who say that Gold beat Red), the statement that Red is the greatest trainer in the world is a matter of opinion. People often refer to Red as the NPC or in the origins anime, but in the end Red is the player. There is no way to tell who truly is the greatest trainer in the pokemon world as they are all embodiments of the player. That's why you can't say that Gold is stronger than Red; the player, embodied by Gold, beat Red, the NPC. It's not fair to compare a player's battling capabilities to an NPC's. It's also entirely possible to lose to Red atop Mt. Silver and the credits still roll all the same.
Yes he is, but you're Blue as well. For instance, I have two friends named Alex but they never get into fights and say, "YOU'RE NOT ALEX!!!!! If we lived in Japan you're name would be Yoshi or some shit!" because that'd just be stupid, instead they accept the fact they have the same first name and just get confused when they're both being called upon like good mature adult transexuals should.
Martin Skinner yup you caught on, yellow is also a girl, she also teaches Reds, Pikachu megavolt. So in short green and red are the boys And blue/yellow are the girls. Cannon to the manga and how the game originally launched. (Even though in the game yellow, yellow is portrayed as a boy).
Matthew Walts Bro, when the games came out. they were Green and red. That's why the technical names for both of them were Red and Green. They were only changed for westernized release. Please get educated on what I'm talking about before you make an ass of yourself.
Guys I made my own Starters Fire Snake (Firake) Grass Hedgehog (Hedgebush) Water Drop (Drople) Fully evolved types (Firake) Fire/Poison (Hedgebush) Grass/Ground (Drople) Water/Ice Mega Types (Firake) Fire/Steel or Fire/Dragon (Hedgebush) Grass/Fighting (Drople) Ice/Fairy
I kinda want a pokemon game call universe. And red is the final hidden boss, in a broken pokemon stadium that float in mid of the multiverse with all 3 mega evolve starter and z move pikachu.
Personally while I know he was green in the Japanese manga I can't help but think Blue suits him more I don't know why. But I alternate between the names for him anyway because I like both.
Green/Blue/Gary/Whatever you want to call him should just show up outta nowhere in X and Y (maybe a DLC or something) and be like BAMF! Suck it, losers! Sweet Arceus, that would be epic xD
dude I love that charizard and blastoise artGuys Red beat Blue in like, a minute remember?Plus, I remember back in Soul Silver when I versed red his Pikachu KO'd everyoneand those infinite max potions thoughGuys I am hyped for Pokémon Go its gonna be pretty cool I guessGod I feel like such a loserThis sound like The Legend Of ZeldaBTW I'm typing this while listening lolxD keep up dis sick music bro!And he's right Blue was champion before VGC
Again this "blue/red/etc" thing going on. Blue in the game, is green in the manga (blue is a thief girl if you read it). And...I myself pay more attention to the music than to the name ! (Anyways they're all badass, right ?).
He doesn't call his mother for more than 3 years, letting her worried :p And I think I can understand why Blue/Green hates him. Blue/Green became adult in Gold/Silver, and he still can't stand Red. I think it's because he destroyed all of his dreams without any regret. Blue wasn't the nicest guy back then but still he wasn't evil, just a kid.
in the games just to clarify, in japan: Red is Red, Leaf is the girl(Blue in Manga), Green is your rival in America: Red is Red, Leaf is the girl, Blue is your rival OK!
blastoise is better, and cooler. i mean why shoot fire and fly when u can fire two jets of pressurized water at over 80000 psi from two 5in. cannons mounted on ur back? oh and breath and swim under water of course. :)
This Red is the Red from the Video Games! and he is subjected to have all the Starters so it really dose not matter what pokemon he owns. MANGA and the Video Games are Different Subjects just like how Pokemon the Anime and Pokemon Manga are different so stop Comparing the two.
Actually no, it's not ok. As much as I want to agree with our pacifist friend Jedimaster20, you are just too tempting to ignore. First you call out everyone wrong by suggesting they'd "at least look it up", and by doing so they manage to prove you wrong. Then you throw a childish tantrum about "weeaboo" [whatever the hell that means] and "caring only about the game". So, to sum things up: No, that is not ok. You either admit your mistakes, or feel free to keep making a fool out of yourself.
I like calling him the Generation 1 Rival :) Or just Red's rival. Not Gary though. That's the anime, and the ENGLISH anime, to be exact. I can't remember the Japanese name for "Gary", but I know Ash is Satoshi...
