Glad I found this video. I’ve been wanting to make a Dresden table topper from my late husband’s ties. After watching this video, it’s much easier than I thought. Thanks.
I love your table topper videos. I have made your other patterns and I'm excited to make this one. Very well explained and easy to follow. Thank you! And yes more table topper tutorials please!
This is the best tutorial on making a dresden plate table topper. I had a dresden plate made and could not figure out how I wanted to finish it. Your instructions were awesome and I finished it in no time.
Nice table topper, your videos are easy to follow along with. I've never liked the zigzag stitch but after seeing you use it I'm going to try it on my next project. Thank you ❤️🧵🪡
You have a gift for accurate description and easy to understand instruction. I understood everything you said except for one thing and I think it was about measurement or stitch size. I have seen dozens of quilting videos and this is among the best. Thank you, Fern Fisher
Thanks for watching. Most of the time i use a length of 2 on my sewing machine when sewing with a straight stitch. It's a good all purpose length. I'm not sure if that cleared anything up but feel free to ask if it didn't! :-)
Thank you for this video. Learned a lot on how to put the backing on without laying it on a big background after making the Dresden plate like a lot of the ones I have seen. Love your way better. Thank you, made my day.
I am still a bit of a beginner and I want to thank you so much for making this project so easy to follow! I will definitely look at your other videos😊 PRR (not Al😊)
Hi I was looking for a Christmas tree skirt video and yours was the best because it took me through each step from start to finish. I made my blades 19" long. Thanks.
I LOVE YOUR TABLE TOPPER. THANK YOU, DO YOU KNOW IF YOU USE MENS TIES IF YOU HAVE TO CUTE OFF THE BACK OF THE TIES BEFOR YOU START? OR DO YOU LEVE THE BACK ON? THANK -YOU JUDY
Great video and instructions given!! I just completed one for myself :) for the Fall Season in a variety of prints in 8" blades and it came out sooo pretty! Thank you for showing how to enlarge the Dresden size for a variety of table tops! Subscribed :)
Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Sylas Marlon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
This was fun to make thank you a question what did I do wrong I sewed twenty of the dresends together after I sewed it it wouldn't lay flat so I ripped out two of the dresends and it laid flat what did I do wrong thanks it was still fun to make Im making a Christmas one I like I wish I knew what I did
I just made 2 dresden plates. You instructions were a little different but I want to try this your way. The only thing I am not sure of is where exactly to clip the inside of the points 2 snips??
Do you think it is absolutely necessary to use batting? I made a Dresden plate out of my brother-in-law’s neckties. My sister will use this on her coffee table. Only decorative objects will go on it-nothing hot or cold.
@@ScrappyPatch I must have did something wrong then..i extended my 12" template to 15" like you had shown in the video and my attempt with 20 blades made about a semi circle that measured about 45" across
Great instructions but just wandering about quilting after you turn it, to keep it from bunching when you wash it. Is that a good idea or No? Does it bunch if not quilted after turned?
You can do an all over quilting if you want, but when you sew around the circle and top stitch around the sides it is enough to keep everything in place
