'It's hard to wait around for something that you know might never happen, but it's even harder to give up.....when it's everything you want.' I recognise only too well, the utter heartache in Henry's face. I've lived with it for twenty years. I must congratulate Nicholas Galitzine upon his performance in this scene. He allows us to see into Henry's soul. Devastating.
And that's WHY it was absolutely IMPORTANT that the bonfire scene was inserted and not CUT like that damn director did; it explained why Henry throws himself into the gao with his hand on his heart and the words that Alex uses when he goes to London to recover Henry ... it was already UNACCEPTABLE to discover that he had CUT the ice cream scene, having cut a WONDERFUL 2 MINUTES and 24 SECONDS scene with an extraordinary Nicholas Galitzine was a crime!!! I hope and pray that Amazon re-edits with ALL the unfortunately cut scenes!!!
you must not know filmmaking or editing. just b/c it's not what you wanted, doesn't make it wrong. you should be thankful you even got the film, let alone the deleted scenes. you're not owed anything!
