When i plan to be on my feet all day with a lot of walking i go with the 1907 with that insole really makes a difference.Still prefere the unsoled hardcore cork footbeld molded to my foot like the 875's etc. Plus the 1907 seems heavier so i wear more in winter.Thanks for sharing CJ!

I’ve just got my 1907 and this is first crt in my collections after 3 years of shelving the ideas of getting one. This boots is super comfortable on my 3rd day.Can’t wait for it to develop its own characteristics.But I must say I still have reservations to condition it with boot oil tho I loved how it looks in this video 😝maybe years down the road I might change my mind.Thanks CJ for all your videos on Redwing boots.Your videos are one of the many reasons I fell in love with Redwing heritage boots.

Was just about to buy the leather cream for my CRT IR’s but after seeing these I’m leaning towards the boot oil. Those are gorgeous.

Its my first rw pair.. 1907 rough and tough.. breaking it is hard it almost made me gave up,, since i am a dm's guy.. but now i can say its worth it..

I’m sorry, but nothing ages better than Copper Rough & Tough. It just gets that classic worn in leather look that I always fall for. Plus, no two leathers patina exactly the same with the color, so it has a bit of uniqueness which is great

I’m a size 10 and i got a size 9EE for the 1907 and 8138. Perfect fits. I have a super narrow foot and this seemed to be the sizes most fitting for myself.

"Lost my train of thought". LOL! Happens to me all the time. Right off the track... Enjoyed the video as always CJ. Until recently I had no moc toe Red Wings. I bought the 875s and the 9705s (in the black harness leather) after watching your video reviews of both, and also bought the 1907s when I found them at Sierra TP at a great price. They took over three weeks to show up (which they eventually did over a week ago) but have not yet tried them on. I'm still trying to break in the other two! I'm also considering the 8205s in Brown Boomer. Any thoughts on those? Thanks.

Just got my first pair of Red Wings in 1907. I was fitted and got a half size down from what I normally wear and the break in is rough. How do you go about breaking in your boots? Any recommendations?

I’m between these and the briar oil slick moc toes, I would preferably like a color inbetween the two, if I applied mink oil on brand new 1907s would it darken the leather to be that color I’m looking for?

1907 Red wings are so comfortable and wonderful , that you can imagine yrself doing the JIG dance on CAPRICE 1807 Classical piece.

I want to re-sole my 1907's with a black Vibram mini lug, basically making it a Cooper Moc. Any reason that sole wouldn't work with the Norwegian welt?

I think my next boot will be a Moc toe in R & T leather. But I hear stitching near the toes hurt like hell and that they’re very narrow. I might try the wider width. I don’t enjoy the breaking process very much. Maybe I am not used to it because I never had to break in any of my Clark’s. They all feel like you’re walking on pillows. 😂

They make the 1907’s in EE widths. I think the 23 last is a more narrow last than the 45 last I actually wish they made more options on the 45 last.

Damn, the color was spot on. I wish my Copper RT IRs look this glossy but in some reviews using boot oil made them look too dark.

How does the sizing compare to the 8 last? I know you’re unsure in the video, but hoping you have a better idea now.

Ever tried the RW Pecos? They're obviously a different fit/style than a lot of the heritage line but I love mine. There are some cool European and Japanese Pecos out there

I read that you should buy your normal shoe size in the 1907 and not size down (like everyone recommends) if you want to avoid pain and discomfort for a few weeks. The article said that the Red Wing leather is too strong for normal stretching and it can really mess up your feet if you size down and tolerate it. Is this true?

I just got my self a pair 1907 from Red Wing shop in anchorage . and they are most comfortable of Red Wing shoes right out of the box. now in iron ranger my size is 10.0 EE and in the Red Wing moc toe shoe my size is 10.5 EE . I just wish Red Wing made more heritage shoes in my size. it seems most shoe I wish could get only come in D.

That leather looks incredible. Nothing like my cooper rough and tough. He used all natural boot oil? That’s the stuff that everyone on Reddit freaks out about that will ruin your boots by turning them so much darker. I like the look though. May have to give it a try.

Not to be a dink, but what's the point of reviewing boots you don't own? You wore someone else's boots, formed to their foot, not yours. And they don't even fit your foot?! Seems pretty pointless to me. SMH
