I picked up a pair of the 3341's (DOB: May 2018) on eBay in summer 2022. Admittedly, they wound up in the back of my boot collection but happily rediscovered them over the holidays. I love the look of this leather and how crazy it ages. The distressed look is incredible. I wonder if Red Wing will bring these back to production.
@@michalmaly7794 I don't think they are discontinued, but have been in short supply for the past few years. I got an email that RW is starting to restock the copper rough and tough. Perhaps the charcoal will be getting a restock soon.
Damn, this boot is beautiful! The toebox on this particular pair looks so well balanced. They really should have this type of Blacksmith. For me, the bulbous toebox is the reason I don't go for Red Wing. I just can't stand it, I don't know it just looks goofy on me somehow.
@@CJCook Yes, I've seen them but it seems like they're available in the US exclusively. I'm in Europe and our range of Red Wings is not that impressive. Otherwhise, the 9060 is beautiful.
I purchased the boots from Red Wing in Queens, NY when they were first released, so they would not be factory seconds. Prototype...? Dunno...? But I really like them!
I’m considering the 3345, but not sure about the toe box. I have the Iron ranger, they are just fine. So I’m torn between the Blacksmith 3345 or the Iron Ranger 8086. Not easy
The Blacksmith and the Iron Ranger are both made on the 8 last. You could wear a 9 in the Blacksmith. I am surprised you wear a 9 in both the 23 last and the Iron Ranger. The Iron Rangers run big and most folks have to size down a half size.
The 3345s have a very nice leather. I think they are dressier than the 3341 Charcoal boots. The Charcoal leather already has a worn look to the leather which makes them more casual. The black prairie leather is what will be on the new Moc Toes in the Fall.
I almost bought the charcoal work chukka today The color seemed really light brown/charcoal in the store Will it get a lot darker over time? The color in your video of these seems way way darker

Great thought! I begin with the weather. No rain means I can put the Roughout Leathers in the mix. For the most part, I usually start with a new boot which needs breaking in.
LMFAO!!!! I'm wearin 3341s right now. My toe box is round like your 2955s. It's due to the boots being handmade. That will bring about 'inconsistencies.' Your toe box SHOULD be round. I thought havin those and the 8146 and 2948s was a bit too much. The shit is The Harvester 2943 and 2944. They fuckin played the American consumer and ONLY have them available for foreign markets. That's foul. Anyway, nice collection dude. I got some catchin up to do. Side note: My 1st pair were the legendary 1212s which I bought in 91 and again 96 and I still have them.
CJ Cook That doesn’t make sense. How can they name the toe box version and the *non- toe box* version the same? That means you won’t know what version you’re getting unless you inspect the shoe. You sounded confused as to why yours didn’t have a pronounced toe box.
Looking at buying my first pair of Redwing boots next month. I am hoping the Redwing store near me has them for me to try on. Would you recommend the Blacksmith or the Beckman? Great and informative vids btw.

HEY! Thanks for the love! Yes, I have dressed up the 2955s. I travelled to Italy in April and I took the 2955s with me. I wore them out to dinners and to two futbol matches. The Black Spitfire Leather is ridiculously cool! It is true the 3341s are easier with the slimmer toe box but the 2955s have a certain vibe.

Thank you Matt! I have more boots on the way which means MORE videos! My first pair ever were the 8109s when I was 11 or 12-years-old. My first pair I purchased as an adult were the Beckman 9014s.

If I see someone on the street with Red Wings I always stop them and chat them up about their boots. I think they think I am crazy, hahaha! @@CJCook yah haha i feel you bro, everytime i see people wearing RW in d mall im just following them and tried to look closely to what theyr wearing haha... I like d most with my RW is my 8111 with d nitrile cork soles, its really a fantadtic pair for me but im looking forward to get d 8114s thats why im always reviewing ur blog about it almost everyday that keeps me going to purchase it, supossedly yesterday but we had a terrible heavy rain, maybe this weekend ill gonna purchase that 8114 classic not with d mini lugs. @@howardhall8078 YES! Triple Stitch!! The 8114s I really slept on those. I don't know what took me so long to buy them. They are a cool and comfortable boot. I think with the new Vibram mini-lug sole it will add to the comfort level.
