REDBULL RAMPAGE- ANOTHER DAY ON THE TOOLS A DAY IN THE LIFE! 

Well it's a question of revenues really. We support our sport and athletes but there's very little money to distribute. The very fact that they get paid for doing what we can only dream about is their achievement. That said, you're right, we tend to forget the risks after a few editions without real damage. About red bull, I don't love them that much but they also support very small initiatives, we had them on a few occasions for our freeride contests.

@@AlainBoudard Racing has it's risks.... biking in itself is a risky sport with plenty of injuries. Any mountain biker knows that a broken collar bone is a very likely outcome for just being a mountain biker. But this event carries with it even bigger risks. These athletes are obviously not forced to take part, but after watching it again this year it's obvious that there's a certain level of pressure that causes athletes to not even want to do their second run. The relief when a rider simply gets to the bottom is immense and the feeling to cheat death is likely the biggest rush anyone can have. Wouldn't like to see the insurance bill that red bull pays for this event! It's actually quite stressful to even watch this event but it has a pull to it. What a conundrum..... humans like to push themselves to the limits. I'm curious how these athletes bodies will be when they're in their 60's or 70's.

@@NextLevelRiding you're right I noticed that too, and honestly if I were Bienve, seeing my notation for the risks I took, I probably would have skipped like Brendog did... Yeah you could feel the relief and sense of engagement, this was noticable.

@@AlainBoudard yes indeed! Brendog and the two that did a victory lap knew they’d taken enough risks that day! Leaving intact is the best prize there! 🤘🏼

I doubt the judges will even understand how much more difficult that canyon leap is, when one considers 20' of lead in track is missing (gap jump) as to avoid the other team's trail below........no other team has as difficult an approach.

truth you speak@@jokermtb Rampage's judging is always weird, intransparent and too much points for slope style. They should rate freeriding higher. But that does not matter (at least for me). The UK boys' line is mental. I just hope Brendog will survive his run.

Mate. There's thousands of acres of this stuff, a scratch in one little canyon doesn't even make a dent. Besides, it's nothing nature itself hasn't been doing for thousands of years - these lads just came along and sped up that process (in this one, specific area, that literally won't impact anything else around it) a touch.
