Good Question - and the answer is YES you can still run the turn signals and rear tail lights from the 64 light kit from Redcat. This custom bucket and LED set up only replaces the head lights which makes that headlight LED strand in the Redcat kit unnecessary, but the rest of the lighting still works as normal on the Redcat LED kit.
The backlights are simple red bullet LEDs. In order to use a light similar to the HALO LED style lights the light "bucket" would have to be modified or "cut up" to fit anything like the front. The smallest "HALO" style LED I have ever personally seen was 8mm - and the hole for the back LEDs is too small. Or someone could simply find a 3mm LED that has a multicolor function. These custom buckets do not modify anything. They simply replace the stock light bucket.
Actually no there is not but that is a VERY good idea! I may have to make some. I never thought about doing that to the Gen8 but no that you bring it up - I just might have to make those as well! Thanks for the idea! Keep an eye out - I just might do that!
If you are running a dual servo set up and 1 servo is plugged into channel 3 and the second servo is plugged into channel 4 - you will not be able to wire the lights up to channel 4. However, the receiver has 3 other ports that you can technically use to POWER the LED strips with. But you will not be able to control the light color with the remote on command. You will have to unplug the lights and re-plug them back in to acheive the color you wish prior to driving. OR you can wire in a receiver wire "on/off" switch and run the switch to a location on the car you can turn on and off the LEDs with and it will let you switch the light color directly even without having to unplug them. It is somewhat of a procss that takes extra steps - but it could be done.
I was looking into the Monte for something like this but not only are you right - the channels are filled - but also the "HALO" ring light would be useless as the headlights are square anyhow. So I would have to come up with some other form or shape and find a functional LED kit to go along with it. As of now I have no idea if they even make square "outlined" LEDs even close to the right size. So - no plans yet.

These, sadly do not work for the 59 yet. I am currently trying to design the 59 headlight bucket that supports these LEDs as well. But I have not finished that design. Keep an eye out - I plan to have it done soon.
Yes. If you leave the switch UP on a specific color and use the "front" switch on the side of the remote to use activate the front - the color should stay the same color. If you hit the "button" for the front of the car on the center of the remote - it will change the color again. Or if you lower the switch and go back up - it will change the color as well.
