When I saw this I thought it was supposed to be like a pearl where if you threw it at a wall, you would stick to the wall until you decided to move. It would definitely make pearling between End islands not so scary.

I feel like an ender pearl that bounces once or twice before teleporting whoever threw it would actually be pretty useful sometimes.

Okay with absolute sincerity, if there existed a version of this that teleported you after the initial bounce, there would be a lot of potential for cool stuff. Imagine making a secret entrance or something that you could only get to by throwing this against the wall at an angle that brought you where you need to be. One full bounce before teleport would be kind of awesome. Like the bounce knocks off the slime.

The fact that the slime ball is actually only one pixel layer smaller than the ender pearl is somehow satisfying. It’s like it’s meant to go in it.

Bouncy pearl ought to either teleport you on it's second landing or when it finally stops

That bouncy pearl can be useful if you teleport after some bounces or just to keep bouncing to distract the warden.

If the bouncy ball would teleport you when in breaks, it could be a legit minecraft vanilla feature, and maybe finally a contender for the elytra (at least for flat distances. Also, if the eye of ender would require an echo shard, Aincent cities would finally have a purpose other than Swift sneak, because you would have to go there to be able to go to the end.

Bouncy balls should be able to be combined with a compass to make them bounce towards strongholds and then maybe add a feather to make them fly? Would be a cool new item

It would be awesome if you could code it to where you can hit a button on your keyboard or controller to choose to teleport on a specific bounce or in between bounces.

Fun fact: if a ball would loose half the energy in each bounce, each bounce would take half the time that the previous one took. If you live ball bouncing like that. If you would leave the ball bouncing like that it would turn out that by the time it stopped bouncing it would make infinite number of bounces, but the total time that it required to do so would be finite (precisely, it will be double the time of the first bounce).

This makes me want a feature where you can combine slime with various items for bouncy effects. Combine slime with a sword? Get increased knockback (maybe at the cost of strength, making it more of an escape tool). Combine slime with a Pearl? It bounces and teleports you after the second or third landing. Slime with arrows? They bounce off walls and floors until they either hit an enemy or lose enough speed, with the speed being reduced on each bounce. Slime with boots? Reduced fall damage, and you bounce when you land (there's a mod that I once played that had slime boots that functioned similarly, and they were fun to mess with). There's some fun potential there.

Honestly ender pearls should change to include Echo shards, it would seriously make going to The End, going to The End.. But the deep dark is kinda a secret place so, probably not

Well you see when you use fortune, the chance of the enderman having "Polyorchidism" increases

Adding feathers will give you slow falling. Magma Cream will make it bounce, and emit fire at that location before teleporting. Adding Skulk will make it activate skulk censors near by. Adding fish will make pearl swim through water like a torpedo. Adding TNT will explode on the bounce impact near to the size of a wither skull explosion. Adding rabbits foot will make the pearl bounce twice. Mushrooms will disorient the pearl making it curve in a random direction. Adding a shulker box fragment (what ever it’s called) will make the pears have 0 gravity. Adding pearls all around it in the crafting table will make the pearl bounce and create a blue portal, then when it’s done bouncing it’s last location is where the pear will make the red portal. Adding bone meal will make the pearl fertilize where it bounces. Adding a sponge makes it absorb water. Adding a bucket of any liquid peaceable will place it on Impact witn the first jump. Adding a arrows surrounding the pearl in the crafting table, will drop arrows until it bounces. Adding ice will make it freeze the bouncing location. Adding cactus will make the pearl damage a player near it. Adding glow stone dust makes a trail of temporary light. Adding a beacon will create a random effect buff where it flys. Adding soul sand and one wither skull with the pearl in the middle, will make it create a larger explosion + dropping the star. Adding a beacon will temporarily blind players who are near. Adding a slime block will multiply the bounciness by 2 and the applies to any of the ones that are above 👆 👆 👆 except for the portal pearl. Adding invisibility will make the pearls transparent. Adding lingering potions will make it linger apon impact with the ground. BASICALLY ALL THE IDEAS I COULD THINK OF.

Honestly, If their was a system to determine how many bounces the ball can have, or just make it less bouncy, then teleport the player after making those bounces, I could genuinely see that being a feature at some point. There'd probably be a lot of game mechanics *clearing throat* bugs! , you could use with it. You could say this ball has great potential ( energy ). 😏

If a bouncy pearl hits a mob, the pearl breaks and the mob gets "slimey" effect for 40 seconds. They take lvl 3 knockback + bounce off the ground as if it was made of slime blocks. And like sticky pistons / slime blocks stick to blocks. If a mob with "slimey" effect hit a wall, they stick to the side, similar to being stuck in cobweb.

The Enderman's balls bit reminds me of one of those old Futuristic Hub Angry Minecraft videos where steve builds a 3 block tall cliffside house, so he fights an enderman and steals it's balls after.

Oh great idea for this. It bounces off sides or bottoms of blocks but when it lands on top of a block it breaks and teleports you there. This would make enfer pearls much safer (ie avoiding falling into void while crossing end islands) and would also allow you to travel further or navigate around corners. This would be so cool!

Or sticky balls that makes you stick to wherever you throw temporarily. So you can pearl to flat surfaces and place blocks under you.

Sticky ender pearl, sticks you to wall on impact for 3 second so you can place block under you

with this video and this video's comments idea, on having a functional bouncing enderpearl. Makes me wonder, would it be interesting for a honey enderpearl, that would temporarily allow you to stick to a surface it hits. could save your life when falling off the end islands or even be useful for building tall structures, and give more uses for honey bottles outside of decoration and redstone

the eye in the middle is just the slimeball inside being cut a little bit so it shows the middle of the enderpearl. and because it might been cut with a knife it kinda looks like a eye

I have two use cases for such a tool: 1. Bouncy Pearl as you have shown. The pearl, as multiple people before me said, bounces X amount of times and then teleports you. 2. *Slimy Pearl.* The pearl sticks to objects and only teleports you once it gets broken by attacks, objects or other means. This could make for an even easier stasis chamber if you are able to find slimes.

If u right click with an bouncy pearl active, you should be able to tp to chosen location (that the bouncy pearl is at) or, the same idea but u can recollect it later like the normal mod(?) does.

It would be crazy if there was an extension to this where you could add the Blaze Powder used to make an Eye of Ender, and this would make an eye of ender that behaves like a slime in that when it breaks or drops, it splits into multiple. For the sake of fairness, the duplicates would break, however this would make it very efficient to find strongholds

Bouncy pearl but it still teleports you. So one slime ball plus one pearl equals a one bounce pearl, and you can stack the bounces up to three times like a firework duration, just needs more slime.

This would actually be pretty fun in vanilla. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was bouce a ball in a weird space and watch fly in random directions. This is the minecraft equivalent of that.

It would be really cool if when it first hits something it bounces and the second time it teleports. Like imagine using it to teleport among skeletons in a close range but not being spotted if you have ever played any war game you know what I mean

the slime eye ball should bounce like five times and then have a chance to either break or turn back into an item, like the eye of ender does when youre looking for a stronghold. on the last bounce it should teleport you

Idea: The slime pearl would teleport you wherever it bounces, making it easier to make maps Although the problem is when it hits water, causing it to lose momentum slowing the pearl down. Another problem is when it hits high walls, it would teleport you to the wall it hits and you'd either fall to your death, or the pearl bounces to the ground in time to teleport you to safety.

Fortune 3 is just steve covering his sword with uranium to induce mutation, evident in chickens.

It should TP on the 2nd bounce, letting you escape to heal more safely in PVP.

When I saw It I thought it was a low budget eye of ender, where it still shows you to the portal but doesn't activate it

if it bounced once and teleported you, this could make a pretty good parkour gimmick. you could put blocks with a one-block gap for you to shoot the ender pearl through, and then have it bounce off the wall across a lava pool, making it fall into a hole that leads to the next checkpoint.

i think this woud be a rlly fun entity to play around with with command blocks
