@@thetankhunter100 a joke sam made recently on a podcast was his brother had a one night stand from tinder with “rainman” and then got blocked. Basically just a lower functioning autistic woman.
not only did he cooked the salmon in the dishwasher, he cleaned his dishes and seasoned it with the cleaner powder. i thought it was gonna be an empty dishwasher 💀
I've grown buckwheat before in my driveway. You can actually eat the leaves, they're definitely better than the seeds. Problem is if you eat too much of the leaves it can cause photosensitivity where you get sunburned really easily. As if eating buckwheat out in your driveway wasn't already the whitest activity you've ever heard of, it makes your pasty translucent skin even more scalded by the sun.
There are many dishes that come with buckwheat here in Poland, you might like it with some meat or mushroom sauce, or maybe ghoulash~ Also, buckwheat honey is my favorite type of honey ❤ If you look it up, it's very dark brown in color which is very cool
So the cookie burger has eluded me for years, until now, you need to make soft home made salty peanut butter cookies, lean away from sweet more into savory. It's actually kind of great.
Honestly... add like a mango chutney to tie it together and you might be onto something. I'm thinking caramelized onions, mango chutney, arugula, maybe some goat cheese on a burger made with extra salty peanut butter cookies. What have you done? Why have you done this to me?
@@moonashabro you know that's pretty much applicable to all grains right? Oatmeal is literally poor farmer food, we used to feed it to livestock before the industrialization of grain.
You weren’t in enough pain from your loss, and decided you needed to feel additional pain to strengthen this character arc, specifically gastrointestinal. You are a modern day martyr. An Atlas, carrying the weight of the world on your back. Sisyphus, beginning the day with cursed meal prep and ending the day with more cursed meal prep. I imagine you as being happy.
My little Slavic heart broke into million pieces hearing you tear into buckwheat like that 💔 Buckwheat cooked with some butter, carrots, onion and meat is heavenly! Ultimate comfort food. Japanese soba noodles are super tasty too, and they’re made from buckwheat))
The "hot dog" might be good if you peeled the cucumber, sliced it (maybe only use half per bun) and instead of ketchup and mustard, you used dill and tzatziki. So basically, it might be good if it were a completely different item.
witnessing sam throw random assortments of food together and devouring them noisily while chunks fly from his mouth, much like an ogre consuming a villages food stuffs after murdering the occupants, brings a whole new kind of sexual gratification
buckwheat with gravy actually tastes good, you can also add a little bit butter after you done cooking it for more flavour, and yes im from Russia(as a poor student you either eat buckwheat/pasta or doshirak(instant noodles) and i didn't want to ruin my stomach so i chose buckwheat/rice/noodles)
buckwheat is definitely preferable to rice or wheat any day of the week, both taste and nutrition wise just not every goddamn day of the week he also undercooked it so yeah, it's gonna be gnarly
Sam, have you never had relish on a hot dog before? Now that you've described it as 'beer shits' on a bun, I don't think I'll ever see relish the same way again. Thanks! :)
I made some double baked sour cream and chive potatoes this weekend. They were delicious. The trick is to put at least 3 Tbs of grated cheddar cheese into the mash and sprinkling the tops with a copious quantity before the final bake at 375 for 10-15 min.
Before watching this I watched a video of two British guys eating 3 Michelin star Chinese food in Macao. Sam was necessary to remind me what a man of the people looks like.
My only regret having watched sam since i was 11. I am 24 now. Is that i have run out of general sam videos. Sam will never know what he helped get me through just by him goofing around. Im getting ready to go through marine basic training. Youre a great youtuber.
sometimes i think my beard is whack for a 23 yr old but then i see this grown man actual family father and he just manages to make me feel better about myself
We actually had a discussion over lunch yesterday about where buckwheat is still eaten, while having buckwheat of course. I wouldn't say it's common in Poland, where I live, but all the stores stock it, and we do opt for it sometimes. Can't say I'm a fan though. Anyway, we came to the conclusion that it's eaten in Poland and Russia
Can't wait for the Sam and Binging With Babish crossover. And the follow up where Sam accidently both burns the place down and gives everyone food poisoning from undercooking everything.
Papa Sam, lemme just say right quick, you a straight up homie. All your dogshit content makes me smile endlessly and gives me some hope for this world. Keep doing what ya do my guy, and we all know you loved the hotdog. Hope she doesn't come out whole 💯
Sam you should try buckwheat with milk, its a very common breakfast in ex ussr countries 😊 its actually delicious, just dont forget to wash it before boiling 😅
It's tastes delicious my ass. Literally animal food that only us slavs eat coz we are poor as heck. Thx God I make enough to not eat this shit anymore. I would rather eat plain spaghetti than this
@@Rasta796 traitor, how dare you disrespect grechka like that. I have to admit that buckwheat in other countries tastes like ass, but good buckwheat from slavic countries slap.
The monkey "open at the bottom" method is generally easier, we open it at the top because we've conceptualized "you open things at the top" and it impacts our approach to opening many things throughout the world.
The cookie burger isn’t actually a bad idea, chocolate goes surprisingly well with meat and the cookie dough is pretty inoffensive, it’s just an unusual texture but it’s probably pretty decent
@@wesw9586there was a place in Indiana that actually sold doughnut burgers. It was not good. Indiana had the most depressing food scene I’ve ever had the misfortune to experience
I'm working on a special recipe, mack and cheese. It's like mac and cheese, but instead of being macaroni in a cheesy sauce, it's mackerel in a cheesy sauce.
im 10 seconds in, and i feel the need to expresso just how much i love watching these, Sam's vibe mixed with possibly hazardous food recipies, just perfect TLDR: never clicked so fast
My gf was crying laughing to the “just use a pickle dumbass” she was watching this over my shoulder and I didn’t even notice her 😂 Edit: she walked away shaking her head after Sam opened the dishwasher salmon
I'm polish and we often have buckwheat for dinner, with a fried egg ans a glass of kefir, which is like fermented milk, they go really well together. You should try it :p
the banana monkey joke was funny af. but yeah opening them the other way means you dont get the stringy bits and you have the stem as a handle to keep the banana from getting mushed
So. Either there's soap in your uncooked fish, or there's uncooked fish juices all over your dishes if you didn't add soap. Truly a 7/10 biohazard no matter how you look at it.
Around 7 years ago when I was a proper stoner in a college house my friends girlfriend had buckwheat cereal… Even having the munchies I called it horsefood and never touched her cereal again 🤣
Buckwheat, if cooked right, is one of tastiest and healthiest grains. First, never use green buckwheat, only roasted. Then, fry onions and other aromatic veggies in fat or butter, dump buckwheat there and heat it while mixing, then add water and boil until cooked (or until all water evaporates, which ideally should happen at the same time). Or just boil it, drain and then roast in fat/butter to get rid of excessive moisture and to give a slight crunch. Buckwheat flour is great in pancakes, replace about 20% of wheat flour in recipe and you will get a taste upgrade and make it a bit healthier.
Which way you open a banana depends on ripeness. If they're just ripe, opening from the stem works. But, if they're starting to ripen a little too much, the stem can get soft and really hard to start opening from, so the pinch is handy.
lmao the triwhich got me real good. at first I thought "Ok...but why" then i saw you take a bite of that bad boy and the realization of the endless combination possibilities hit me all at once like a 8 gram shroom trip hitting when you suddenly stand up
I grew up really poor and one of our “meals” was something we called Starvation Sandwiches. It was a hotdog bun, shredded iceberg lettuce, ketchup and mustard. Apparently, my mom was a vegan trailblazer.
Most dishwashers do not heat the water at all, they use the water from the tap. You have to run the hot tap until it’s very hot before turning on the dishwasher to make it clean properly, and even then it’s not cooking anything.
Russian here - somewhat of a buckwheat connoisseur. Try making buckwheat with liver roasted in sour cream - best dish from my childhood. Like you caramelize finely chopped onions and carrot, add a liver, let it cook for 5-10 minutes until it looks done, then add a good ol dollop of sour cream, maybe even two, and season it with spices of your choice. Let it coat the liver, you can also add a teaspoon of flour just to make it less watery, and you're good to go.
I used to work at a Burger joint years ago. I went mostly vegan for a bit and would make pickle dogs there. Everyone loved them. Toast your hot dog bun with butter or margarine, use a large pickle spear. Make it with with 2 slices of tomato, lettuce, and chipotle mayo. (Mayo, blended Chipotles in adobo, and Sriracha mixed with some garlic powder) It was honestly tastier than the actual hot dogs we sold.
