@@wolfsteiin5815 you have to keep the purpose of the logo in mind. A rock festival is something completely different which requires a different approach.

Actually your logos are way too generic and complicated, you should follow Zimri's advice on the font and try with a new more simple bird shadow :)

@@TheStepmonkey The logo was made couple months ago, it is actually standing still so we good anyway :) Also the brief I got for that fits the logo way betters. Plus... where's the "stone'ish" look on his bird?

I think that it is better because it gives more of a messy rock style because the original was too sharp and modern for a rock logo. Just my personnal opinion.

Totally agree with that. It now has a more festiva-ly vibe.. the original one could be easily assumed as a logo for a car company or heavy stuff like that. But I love the original idea as well🖒

@@MartwanComePan No its not that it isn't minimal, its that its sloppy. I agree that it would look too clean without it but there are much less childlike and sophisticated ways you can add texture. This is just wrong. It communicates that this festival should not be taken seriously. It needs to maintain its seriousness while avoiding the corporate look. But instead he used a round vector brush and sloppily shit all over the bird. This guy is great at the modernist shit but when it comes to texture you should look somewhere else for guidance. Not trying to be mean, but this just aint it. And this is coming from someone who tends to stray faaaar away from minimalism.

@@alexhull2575 well, I think that most rock festivals don't need a serious look, it's just about wildness and having fun, so a freehand dirty looking logo would work the best for me, but it depends in the environment and the sub-genres and bands which they feature.

Yeah, would be cool if the bird's head was fixed to the bottom of the circle or looking like it was breaking through; from the bottom of the circle.

Hey Paddy : ) Yeah not many people seem to prefer the new direction : ) It's all cool though - I think I just wanted to draw something or try a different style - and focused on something that might be more interesting for concert merch. But yes agreed, I think something else might be much better! Thanks for being awesome : D
