Hello design champs! Today I went through five of your logo designs. Some of them were personal logos and some of them were logos for school projects. I'm not sure if all of my redesigns were a good direction but hopefully each designer can take at least one thing as an idea for their logo. Thanks for being here guys!

Yeah it made the whole logo so much clearer with a relatively simple change. I also love that he showed how he used the guides to align all the keys and keep the logo looking clean!

To me the change looks really nooby. The original is very clean and well ballanced. No need to implement more realistic geometry, the piano keys can't be mistaken!

@Alamda Ali yeah, I thought to myself when I saw it, that piano/keyboard keys are not very associated with DJ:ing. And now that you mention this and I think about it again, maybe it was supposed to visualize mixer level buttons. If so, this wasn't a good representation.

I can't get over the unbalanced wonky looking S in that first logo.. I honestly would have just completely redid it because the original design is meh but man I know it's not really supposed to be exactly a symmetrical S in the redesign but I can't help but want it to be so I'm really conflicted :'(

I think all that needed to happen was to convert that box/rectangle bit on the right into a line so you can smush the middle of the S up. The box was distracting.

@@Rowynn71 Also it looks like the intent was for it look like a maze, so the box doesn't work quite as well. Overall more attention could be given to the maze design.

Ibo's design looks better with the new spacing but I really preferred the black box, it made the blue-green colour stand out a lot more. And as others have said, I think making the S more s-like would have made it more appealing overall.

I like Jess Design's revision, but I prefer the rounded font of the original... I think edged sans serif isn't for everything! Great video my friend, I genuinely loved Ibo's revision!

I love your work and your knowledge in graphic design and logos. I am new to all this graphic design stuff and have binge watched all your videos. You are fun to watch and give great tips! I would love to see more tutorial videos on how to do some of the stuff you do as I don't even know the basics. I know you have tutorial up but it would be cool to see some newer ones. I think Ibo Shala should consider some negative white space ideas for their logo. Would help with the line-thickness issue in a way that might work better than making the maze-outline overpower the I.S. letters.

I basically basically learned how to draft using digital tool by watching just one episode of yours. I use to draft on paper using pencil and it often stopped me from creating. Thanks you boss!

I'm not sure what Ibo's industry is/was, but by adding an entry point and exit point for Ibo's maze-like logo seemingly could have been a great metaphor for how complicated any company, issue or objective could be and how he/she could see them through the process

4:27 One minor problem of the piano logo is that the left most white key did not extend to the left of the shape, it's supposed to be an "R"

@@Garethcostan no he didn't. His ideas where all good just needed more time to make the whole thing work for the s. His wasn't perfect but was better. Adding more lines might be too much

Leafed it or griefed it would've been a great one, imo... The first one, creating that box just turned it into pure, empty space, and felt like wasted space, where-as while it was open, it felt like part of the maze and didn't feel wasted. Otherwise, liked it a lot. The piano one, I might not have made the lines QUITE so thin, but pretty close The joy logo was awesome The leaf logo... I liked the emphasis on the eye, but I might've kept the light green because leaving it out made it very focused on the eye...

osiris logo - Only one I would say beefed. It was a nice homage to the Egyptian eye. (similar to the eye of Ra). The only thing I'd change is: the logo itself mimics Horus, rather than Osiris. It looks like the curve of the eye is hawk-like. Not sure if it was intentional or not.

Hey, Vitor here :D No, it was not intended to have a hawk-like shape. We chose the name Osiris, because we wanted to tell the company clients that we create life within our animations. Even though he is an afterlife god and not a life god, he once was god of plantation fertility or something alike. Leaf is a plant and we use plants as food to keep us alive, so it kinda makes sense. Hehehehe
